I actually love the looks of this one (my 3 favourite colours). Such a shame that it isn't mechanical, I assume it is based on the Apex plus some modifications? SteelSeries ought to come out with a new mechanical keyboard, instead of rereleasing Qck and Siberia V2 versions for different games or esports teams.

Woah, woah, woah! Don't go shoving your 1080p bias down my throat. I'm perfectly fine using my 80 lbs. 800x600 floral-white CRT monitor from 1996.

Speaking from personal experience (as of last week, actually): A friend went on a two week vacation so I borrowed his Logitech G710+ (Cherry MX Brown). It was weird playing MMOs, FPSs, and general gaming at first but almost natural when it came to typing. After sleeping through the awkwardness, I got used to it quickly. Fast track to two weeks later, I went back to using my membrane keyboard (Logitech G15) and immediately noticed its sluggish response. Not that there was any latency when hitting the keys, but not having to bottom-out the keys to have them register was a huge plus when it came to mechanical keys.

TL;DR

Mechanical keyboards ARE better!
Personal opinion.

Well dang, that's why I keep getting my butt kicked in all the MMOs I play (PvP)... I'm using a non-mechanical Steelseries keyboard. Whew, though it was just me sucking in the games.

So does rubber dome or keyboards with fancy names. Only difference is at least you get better uniform even feel with mechanicals.

Keyboards are the interface we use to commune with the PC, getting a nice firm / tactile / linear feedback from it equates to a better experience. The sense of touch is just as important as how we treat our sense of vision with GPU upgrades, hearing with speaker / headphone upgrades, or even the comfort we feel with the seat you sit on when you use your pc.

At $10, not $80. I would gladly use rubber domes but only if its noticeably cheaper than mechanicals. anything above $50 and you will have to start to seriously consider mechanicals, they last much longer.

I for one do not like mechanical keyboards.
Flat, laptop style flat keyboards are my thing.

It's nice to have choices. I've used mechanical keyboards quite a lot (I used to write a lot and dabbled a bit in keyboards) and I never got that OMFG feeling and I ended up using whatever I could find, which was cheap $5 keyboards. Now I use a $20 Logitech keyboard and aside from being a bit wobbly it works perfectly fine for me.
