EVGA has today launched the Hadron Air, a compact PC chassis that can house one Mini ITX motherboard and comes equipped with an 80Plus Gold-rated 500 W power supply. EVGA's case measures 169 (W) x 305 (H) x 308 (D) mm, it weighs 6 kg, and features two USB 3.0 ports, a side window, two 2.5-/3.5-inch drive bays, two (top-placed) 120 mm fans, plus support for one slim slot load optical drive and for one dual-slot graphics card up to 267 mm long.

The Hadron Air is backed by a three-year warranty and costs $189.99.

Looks somewhat pricey compared to competition, even with the 500w gold included.

Kinda looks like the Bitfenix Prodigy from the outside, except it's double the cost, has a noisy PSU, and no airflow over the video card.

I think this thing would have been pretty stylish a couple of years ago.

I don't like the look of that 40mm Delta PSU fan. Seems like it could make more noise than the rest of the system put together.

You know, I would have been far happier with that same design, but a full size PSU spot at the bottom instead of that tiny proprietary thing, even if it did make the case slightly taller.

Granted, 500w and 80+ Gold in that small of a unit is impressive, but with cases this small I want modular and a nice big 120mm fan to help with airflow.

Also, did anyone notice that the slot load DVD drive ejects out of the side of the case? That's just stupid.

The rounded corners and front foot arch scream out "Somebody please mistake me for a Prodigy and not realize their screw-up until it's too late". Price is way too high, and that PSU fan is sure to be a screamer. The Hardon Air looks limp to me...

I really don't get why the case is tilted. A case should be horizontal.

Its just your eyes playing tricks on you. Or their table isn't straight. Well some people might be OCD about horizontal things. I dunno

....tiny proprietary thing....

While I agree I'd rather have a standard ATX psu, I don't think this one is proprietary. It looks like a 1U server psu.
