If you consider online gaming as a fundamental belief, pwning opponents online as a religion that fulfils your life, and the pursuit of a fast and stable internet connection as one of your core values, then ASRock has the answers to probably not all but at least most of your life's questions: ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer Series motherboards! With the integrated Killer LAN chip, serious players may game carelessly with no lag, just frag!

No Lag, Just Frag with Killer LAN!
What makes ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer Series motherboards so special is that it adopts Killer E2200 Intelligent Networking Platform, which boosts the performance of online games, high quality streaming media and other time sensitive UDP (User Datagram Protocol) based applications up to 5 times! Experiments at our lab have proven that Killer LAN is especially good at reducing the latency in online games, for instance the latency in League of Legends can be reduced by 136%, and the latency in Diablo 3 is reduced by 60% and DOTA2 by 47%. When it comes to professional gaming, even millisecond decisions may turn the tides of war, either you kill LAG, or be killed by LAG. Hence with the onboard Killer E2200 LAN solution, LAG will never be an excuse for losing anymore.

Besides boosting the networking performance for UDP based applications, Killer LAN also automatically detects and accelerates game traffic ahead of other network traffic for smoother, stutter free in game performance and the competitive edge, giving users the lowest latency for game data on the most controllable network hardware available.

Gaming Armor + A-Style + Key Master + XSplit = Pure Gaming
Gaming Armor and A-Style isn't missing the killer party either! For CPU power, ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer Series boasts Hi-Density Power Connectors that reduces 23% power loss and decreases the power connector's temperature. Meanwhile, there's 15? Gold Fingers within the VGA PCIe slot that delivers triple performance than usual. An additional SLI/CrossFireX Power Connector to provide more juice and stability for graphics cards.

There's also the whole Purity Sound onboard audio solution for the pickiest ears and 600 ohm headphiles, and HDMI-In for connecting a secondary device to your PC while sharing the same monitor. The ultimate keyboard and mouse enhancement utility Key Master? You betcha! And how could anyone forget the best live broadcasting and recording tool XSplit, we are giving away the $24.95 three month premium license for free again with the Killer Series!

As usual, an awesome motherboard dedicated for gaming deserves Premium Gold Caps to ensure stable performance and extra long endurance. At the same time, the motherboard uses Digi Power to provide the CPU Vcore voltage more efficiently and smoothly. Next to the gold caps are the 8 Power Phase design for delivering smooth power with the lowest temperature, so that users may overclock and squeeze out every drop of performance effortlessly. As for the memory, be prepared for a jaw breaking 3050+(OC) MHz Dual Channel DDR3!

You can also properly adjust router QOS with good firmware and you get same "boost" which only compensates for local congestion (just like KillerNic does). The rest depends on servers and your ISP which no network chip or card will ever solve.

And then we lament that fascism promoted a "war culture" in the thirties. And WTF is ours? "Fatality" "Killer" motherboard???? Gimme a break, I have to vomit. :shadedshu

I love the Fatal1ty brand of ASRock mb. I've found them to be about their highest quality. Also have been very pleased with ASRock customer service on the RMA front.

Just buy a decent cheap mobo and add a Intel NIC, that is all you need.

Yup, i all so see it as gimmick as well. Sure they can play games but it ends there and you just end up with a mobo ( or what ever ) with some one elses e-peen all over it .

And who wants that ?.

Just buy a decent cheap mobo and add a Intel NIC, that is all you need.

Or Broadcom which they used on my Z77 which actually connects to servers with 1-3 ping less than my Z68 which are both close to being the same mobo.

Why? What's wrong with Asrock mobo or their Fatal1ty series?

Note to ASrock:

Branding is meant to make people want to buy a product, not avoid it.
When you put "Fatal1ty" on a product, it says:
"This product isn't good enough to survive on it's own merit, so we paid some self important wanker a licensing fee to put his name on it."

My Extreme 6 GB 2011 board has been the best board I've ever owned. I love it. Though, my next build will be with the new Asus Impact. It's gonna kill me to sell this board/cpu, but fun to do another build. Asrock also has a great color scheme (gold/black) which is very Deus Ex-ish.

I just bought my first asrock product a week ago. picked up a z77 oc formula, im very impressed with this board. very easy bios to set up and navigate. and the quality is every bit as high as any other high end board I've owned.

I would not hesitate to buy asrock again, that says a lot right there. but...I would never buy anything Fatal1ty branded, cant stand the guy.

Most of us agree that we don't like Mr. Fatality or his name on our hardware, but after all it is just a nickname. But are you fine with a product labeled as "killer" ? for me that is an equally strong argument for not wanting it.
I must be too old. And this product is clearly marketed towards kiddies without other values than nachos and killrates.

Killer is to refer to the Killer NIC that it has, not that the motherboard is a killer. The motherboard isn't going to jump out of your case and slay you in the middle of the night. :p
