Phobya, manufacturers of high quality water cooling components as well as water cooling ready cases, have introduced a new enclosure tailored to the needs of users who want to assemble systems with water cooling equipment. The latest addition to their line-up is an absolute high-end product called "Black Owl" and it is the impressive result of a case design contest hosted at bit-tech.net earlier this year.

Made entirely from aluminum, the ?Black Owl" weighs just less than 7 kilograms. With its dimensions of 66.5 x 62.5 x 23.5 centimeters (H x D x W) it offers plenty of space for hardware as well as an extensive cooling setup. Apart from the support for up to three radiators this case can house mATX, ATX as well as eATX motherboards and even an oversized graphics cards look small inside. New practical additions are the carrying handles and, thanks to their characteristic shape, the case ends up with a very unique design.

Behind the concave front there is space for up to three 5.25 inch as well as three 3.5 inch drives. Other than that, up to four SSDs or 2.5 inch drives can be installed. Since it does not feature pre-installed power and reset buttons, customers can choose between different Phobya vandalism-proof push-buttons that add even more personal customization to the new "Black Owl" PC case. Also, the back features a concave shape with a space for either a 120 millimeter radiator or an identically sized fan. Right next to the eighth slot bezel, there are routing holes for water cooling tubes, which make it possible to reach a radiator outside the case. Below the slot bezels two power supply units can be installed. If one PSU is being put in place, there is a cover, which allows for mounting a pump or a reservoir.

The highlight of this case is definitely its versatile feature set for water cooling setups. In the top there is space for a quad radiator with up to four 120 millimeter fans. In the bottom area Phobya included a vertical bracket, which can be equipped with another triple radiator. This spot is compatible with 120mm as well as 140 millimeter fans. Radiators, as well as fans, can be tightened to the bracket from both sides, which allows for a wide variety of configurations. Close to the front there are mounting holes for easier installation of pumps and reservoirs. Phobya did not equip the "Black Owl" with fans on purpose; since custom water cooling builds are highly individual, especially when it comes to fans and noise level, where users want to optimize their setup towards specific needs.

Phobya's "Black Owl" will be available shortly at Aquatuning for 469.99 Euro (including VAT).

That price :twitch:

Make something useful which everybody wants - Put a retarded price tag on it so nobody can have it. Reminds me of those ridiculously priced InWin cases.

Where the PSU goes in a TJ07, same sort of setup.
This case is bigger than it looks.

you have a point re price Rcoon i mean it looks rougher than any nxt case, is made in the same way(thicker ally wow 80uk notes max 6x3ftsheet) yet with less attached and only designed better for rads, hell the kandalf(yes bit shit) im using has a custom molded ally face door thing(holding 360rad fitted) and only cost 120 uk notes, if the designers charging phobya that much im in the wrong game ere.:D

Rcoon cheers i guess its in the way a bit then if a rads in that vertical holder from an airflow pov

inwin's cases look way higher quality , the tou looks awsome just not so watercool friendly as this phobya case.

€ 470 and no dust filters? :wtf:
You can buy 2x Phanteks Enthoo Primo for that amount of money and have the same watercooling flexibility...

Meh, I would rather get a Caselabs case for that price, the power switch will go on the front at the bottom in the middle of the grill, look at first pic, will fit 2 vandal switches.

I just don't see how you can fit dual rad in the bottom middle with the psu placement, no way to fit ut60 p/p.

It's a crazy high price, but it is aluminium. More than twice as light as a steel case of the same size. IDK if it justifies the price but it'll make moving the thing around a lot easier.

Nice case for the elite builder on an unlimited budget, like a Lian Li but actually designed for high-end rigs. No point nit-picking the lack of this and that, that's the point with this case (customization). Still, that price...

I have phobya watercooling fittings. They make good rads too.

First case they've made. Good try, but not attractive and way, way too expensive.

I like the looks and the case as such, but not the price and lack of dust filters. On the other hand it's so open so you might as well cover the entire thing in them.

Ahahaha, I was thinking the same thing. I like it without the bend. The thing is: this shape is just very robust and handy. I don't mind manifacturer's using it all the time. Bitfenix did it, InWin did, and many others, so I don't really care if they "copy" Apple. Ultimately, it works right?
