EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium water cooling gear manufacturer, is proud to introduce world's first full-cover water cooling solution for the latest AMD Radeon R9 290X, the new flagship performance graphics card.

EK-FC R9-290X water block directly cools the GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. EK-FC R9-290X water block also features a very high flow design therefore it can be easily used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps.

Base is made of electrolytic copper (bare on nickel-plated - depending on the variant) while the top is made of quality cast acrylic material or POM Acetal (depending on the variant). Screw-in brass standoffs are pre-installed and allow for safe installation procedure. The cooling engine now uses refined, 0.6 mm wide microchannel structure to even further improve the heat transfer while not sacrificing the famous low hydraulic restriction design:

Up to four EK-FC R9 290X series water blocks can be interconnected with EK-FC Terminal which allows for hassle-free piping job. The product is available in five different variants, an aesthetic retention backplate is also available:
  • EK-FC R9-290X - 92,95€
  • EK-FC R9-290X - Acetal - 94,95€
  • EK-FC R9-290X - Nickel - 104,95€
  • EK-FC R9-290X - Acetal+Nickel - 105,95€
  • EK-FC R9-290X - Nickel (Original CSQ) - 105,95€
  • EK-FC R9-290X Backplate - Black - 26,38€

Products are readily available for pre-order through EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network. Due to embargo on the aforementioned graphics card the shipping will commence on October 25th 2013.

sure, why not..
how much total it cost shipped to Indonesia including custom and other taxes ?
Truthfully, i would prefer to choose non reference pcb design of R9-290x kind of like ASUS custom pcb design on DC II variants and put it underwater with EK full gpu water block.

anyway have you got an AMDers gathering invitation in Bandung, West Java on sunday october 27th ? (OT)

Copper + Plexi for me!

Also going with the same. After their plating fiasco, I'm never buying another nickel-plated block from them again. My 7970 block looked like shit after a few weeks with just distilled water + silver kill coils. But when I acquired a used copper 7970, it looked like new after several months of continuous use.

Silver and nickel in the same loop is a NO NO. No wonder you were having problems and exacerbated them. Any basic science book will tell you that "Current flows through the electrolyte to the more noble metal (cathode) and the less noble (anode) metal will corrode". So nickel, less noble than silver, will corrode (lose an electron).

I never use a kill coil. I'm all nickel. I use koolance or EK's colored coolant and I've been doing this for 10+ years (the beginning).

You know what the key is?

MAINTAINENCE. I perform it in regular intervals. (3-6 months) It's part of the hobby. I enjoy it.

After my experience with full covers I'll just keep using universal waterblocks.

Zero difference between FC and universal, unless it's for an aesthetic factor :)

When I was going to buy a gpu block I could not decide whether I wanted a full cover or universal. I decided to go full cover after reading about a guy who had one full cover and one universal on his 7970 crossfire setup. When overclocking, he had problems cooling the vrms on the universal blocked gpu and not on the full cover. Aren't you always complaining your vrm's are hot on your titan?

Didn't use this on Titans because the additional waterblock wasn't available, it's gonna be available now.

It's a plate that you can cut to size for your VRM section :)

I paid 48 eur for the blocks and 20 for the tubing + fittings + mini waterblock.

Doesn't touch the cost of a fullcover and every iteration saves you like 80% of the cost.

But cost isn't the issue here, it's more like I completely hate having tons of expensive/heavy paperweights around because that's what it happens to old waterblocks.

VRAM doesn't even need heatsinks, I tried putting a backplate on my gpus and it lowered memory overclock, go figure out lol.

TBH,if you go "legit" way,it will cost shipment handling and taxes around 25%,but still 5-10% cheaper than our local store.Another way is to knock Tiborr doors at OCN and mark them as used so you can escape any duties

What?I didn't know about that
