Eurocom is launching the world's first 12 core / 24 thread Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2 based 12lbs (5.5kg) Mobile Server Supercomputer-class laptop, the EUROCOM Panther 5SE. Intel's Xeon E5-26xx v2 technology has a major impact on enterprise computing with its long term scalability, energy efficiency and high performance. For its continuous innovation and creation of new computing form factors such as Mobile Server category, Eurocom received the 2013 Intel Form Factor Solution Innovation Award.

Eurocom is supporting the entire family of E5-2600 v2 Xeon processors ranging from 4-cores/8-treads up to 12-cores/24-treads including E5-2697 v2, E5-2687w v2, E5-2697 v2, E5-2695 v2, E5-2690 v2, E5-2680 v2, E5-2670 v2, E5-2650 v2 and E5-2620 v2.

Intel Xeon processor E5-26xx v2, based on 22 nm silicon technology can boost performance by up to 50% over previous generations while also offering increased energy efficiency, which is critical in the Panther 5SE due to its Mobile capability and built in battery (uninterruptible power supply).

Eurocom strives to create the ultimate in longlifespan, scalability, upgradeability, capability and performance for individuals who require the most advanced technology for on the go deployment. Intel's ongoing silicon improvements which provide new capabilities allow Eurocom to design more energy efficient, highly scalable Mobile IT Infrastructure for companies and professionals that require server-on-the-go capabilities without the overhead of traditional server Rooms.

"The Panther 5SE Mobile Server is perfect for organizations relocating operations that require fast network setup to eliminate staff downtime with overhead associated with traditional Server Rooms. Technically there is no server room required to get your organization or workgroup up and running. Startup companies can have an entire network server, for 20-50 users, running in one box. We have customers who use our mobile servers as backup in case their production server goes down, they can load the virtual machine on to the mobile server for production purposes while the main production server is down. The more professionals we speak with about the Panther 5SE the more creative and beneficial uses we see" Mark Bialic, Eurocom President.

EUROCOM Panther 5SE Mobile Server
The EUROCOM Panther 5SE provides fast deployment right out of the box, combined with easy relocation and no need for a server room. The ability to hand carry the system makes the EUROCOM Panther 5SE an extremely easy system to relocate while providing server capabilities.

The EUROCOM Panther 5SE is an all in one system with a built in keyboard, display, touchpad and uninterruptible power supply that results in a compact easily mobile server solution. It is designed for world wide deployment and easy network set up. It is easy to transport, move around and relocate as it can fit into a single carrying bag because of its all in one, compact design.

The Panther 5SE mobile server does not replace conventional server systems, it addresses emerging needs and opens up new opportunities. The All-in-One compact design, single computer solution allows for server capability anytime, anywhere. The EUROCOM Panther 5SE Mobile Server allows for either "on-the-go", "rapid server deployment" or "Ad Hoc" (temporary network setup) when single server capability is required, multiple operating system compatibility is needed and running virtual machines is a must.

Memory
EUROCOM Panther 5SE uses quad channel memory, and enables the Panther 5SE to initially support up to 32 GB of DDR3 1600 MHz RAM via four 8 GB SODIMM 204 pin modules. With such massive amounts of RAM available, the Panther 5SE becomes a great tool for virtualization and server class environments.

Storage and RAID Support
Eurocom Mobile Servers are designed to support large amounts of high capacity, redundant storage options for server class environments. Solid State, Hybrid, or Enterprise level drives with RAID capability are supported in the Panther 5SE. With support for up to four internal 1.5 terabyte storage drives, the Panther is able to offer 6 TB of internal storage. RAID 0,1,5,10 capability gives users the ultimate in performance or redundancy.

LAN
The Panther 5SE comes with an Intel 82579V Gigabit Ethernet port on-board, while additional LAN ports (single, dual, Quad or Fiber) can also be added via internal ExpressCard slot or via external MagmaExpress Expansion Box.

Power
Equipped with a built in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) in the form of a 78.44Wh lithium-ion swappable battery pack, which offers upwards of an hour or backup power in case of electricity failure, which allows for safe and secure shutdown after powerloss. An external 300W AC Adapter / power supply reduces internal heat generated inside the system and it also creates a smaller, lighter chassis that requires less ambient cooling than traditional servers.

Security
The EUROCOM Panther 5SE Mobile Server is equipped with a Trusted Platform Module 1.2 (TPM), finger print reader and Kensington lock port to keep crucial data and intellectual property secure.

Operating Systems
Eurocom Mobile Servers support a variety of server class operating systems such as Windows 2012, 2008 R2, VMware ESXi, Enterprise Server Edition 6.4 and Linux. With the plethora of server class components extra virtualization capability is a given, allowing higher performance, extremely stable virtualization on one platform. The Panther 5SE allows for network virtualization, multi tenancy and storage resource pooling.

Mobile Server Deployment
The idea of a portable server solution is appealing to application developers, emergency responders, on-site trainers, mobile engineering and construction teams and others who need powerful computing solutions wherever they may be.

The All-in-One compact design, single computer solution allows for server capability anytime, anywhere. Server-on-the-Go allows for either "on-the-go", "rapid server deployment" or "Ad Hoc" (temporary network setup) when single server capability is required, multiple operating system compatibility is needed and running virtual machines is a must.

So much Marketing Bullsh.it you cannot believe it. Eurocom launches nothing, this laptop is made by Clevo and its a standard lga 2011 laptop, hence the ivy bridge xeon, which happens to be in a 12 core flavour.

I like these pricey laptop designs cause once you tear down an acer/hp/etc to clean and change out thermal paste you swear you'll never do that again.

Just look at that easy access.

I have encountered some odd laptops with almost a handful of screws. Sometimes I have to do full tear downs to access the cpu. You are lucky in this area lol.

Indeed it's a really time consuming job...not long ago I had to change the fan on a friends HP (older model), everything had to be removed including the motherboard to change the fan.
The only models which have better access are Probooks and Elitebooks.

I know that pain all too well...I tell everyone I know now, don't buy HP, ever.

Goes the same for all companies since all have some sort of models which are a nightmare.

No really, this is different.

Clevo is the one who makes these laptops.
These laptops are sold to different butiq Firms, like
Mythologic, Ava-Direct, Origin, My-Sn.de, Eurocom, etc, (a ton more)

These Firms then sell these laptops.
I dont hear any of those bragging that they launched something similar, and you cant compare thatt to apple, as apple is the only one who sell the iphones made by foxxconn. And its just made, like the brute labor force, but their designed by apple. not by foxxconn, or am i mistaken ?

Anyways, here, Clevo does all the thinking and engineering, and the Vendors just sell the thing.

So EUROCOM hasnt launched nothing, as a matter of fact, they made nothing, they are just selling something made by someone else.

I know because i have a CLEVO x7200, and its bought from My-Sn.de. Everyone refferes to these laptops by their clevo names, not by the names given to them by these sellers.

So yah, EUROCOM bragging all day long, pisses me off, esspecially since they sell extra expensive.

And that Appfle-Foxconn comparison, is either pure Stupidity, or you just have no ideea about it.
