Antec Introduces New ISK600 Enclosure for Mini-ITX Builders

I love how they make the mini cases just as expensive as full size cases. Its like they say, hey we know we're making it with a fraction of the material a big case is but we also know you'll buy it because its small and stylish so why should we lower price?

Wow...I just made fun of case makers and Apple all in the same sentence...I feel like I've grown somehow .

JK, looks like a great little case Antec. Curious to see how it rates but I don't think it'll beat Bit Fenix, at least not yet.

You actually need to do your homework with designing ITX cases, whereas tower cases is just slap random plastic to skeleton. This would make a pretty good case except at that price point, there is Fractal Design Node 304.

well, not exactly correct statement - the case is just not 'so many kilos metal'... there is also some manual work included in the price and that is more less the same cost regardless the size of the case...
and sometimes those small cases require even more time to be assembled...

True, though I still feel customers pay for a niche product. I mean CM elite 120 is 45 euros. Which in Europe is by far the most reachable mini ITX case- money wise. Of course, its SECC steal, not ALU, not the smallest one etc etc. but it shows that you can have a lower priced product. I mean for what you get with brands like Sivlerstone SG08- with the PSU included I totally understand 200 euro price tag. But I am not rdy for this ivestment yet, why not make a cheaper knock off? Look at EVGA Hadron?- Flex PSU 500 gold rated- 200 euros for the combo..I mean, I don't know, but it doesn't feel right to me. When the batte of the sizes has been on for years, and some people will never go back to a standard sized ATX PC case, I feel like being obliged to always pay preium for this choice these days, is not fair in a way.

OK design, but one thing bugs me... With only two USB ports on the front, why aren't they both 3.0? Why are manufacturers still putting 2.0 on the front of their cases at all? It's not like you can't plug 2.0 devices in it, and it's not like you can't connect it to a 2.0 motherboard header if your MB is old and doesn't have 3.0...

actually recently I have rebuild my PC and also went to miniITX build (see signature)...
I also like the cooler master's CM Elite 120 (and 130 as well), but in my case I went with Prodigy... just because I didn't want to ditch my tower cooler
and prodigy was the only ITX case that could accepted it... + I really liked the orange color - to make hint on the 'orange box'... if you remember that one...

Indeed, also the Node 304 is just about the same size: 9.84" x 8.27" x 14.72".
I wonder if Antec put as much thought into the internal layout as Fractal has done on the Node.
