Arctic Rolls Out the Freezer i11 and Freezer A11 CPU Coolers

Swiss company Arctic has now launched the Freezer i11 and Freezer A11, two CPU coolers with identical specs but different mounting systems - the i11 supports Intel LGA 1150/1155/1156/2011 chips while the A11 supports AMD FM2/FM1/AM3(+)AM2(+) processors.

These twin coolers measure 108 (L) x 90 (W) x 130 (H) mm, they weigh 480 grams each and feature 45 aluminum fins, three 6 mm Direct Touch copper heatpipes, and one 92 mm PWM fan operating at 500 to 2,000 RPM. Both the Freezer i11 and Freezer A11 come bundled with MX-4 thermal grease and cost 19.90 Euro.

Good price if it cools well but it looks like the fin area is excessive unless this cooler really excels.

Wouldnt touch an AC CPU cooler. maybe fine for an Athlon XP or Pentium (sub 95W Load). Have never had good luck with any of the CPU coolers, nice VGA.. poor cpu

I have an AC 11 LP cooler on my i5-3450. I have it sitting at 3.9ghz and have never seen it go above 54C...

I wish my processor was a K-series so I could push it further =(

That's too bad. I've had great luck with their CPU coolers. Great bang for buck if the customer wants low noise with good cooling capability. I've never used their top end CPU cooler though but from reviews, it seems very decent.

I remember that the Artic Cooling Freezer Pro was the perfect price/performance cooler back in the days of the first gen Core CPUs. It was pretty much a CM Hyper 212 EVO at a very respectable price. Don't know what happened to AC, they seemed to just fall off the map with their below-average coolers now.

From memory my very first aftermarket cpu cooler was a AC freezer pro 7 for the core 2 duo e8400 I had at the time. Was like $40 or $50 NZD and was perfect for me at the time as it was cheap (was a poor student), performed good enough and more importantly gave me an opportunity to get into OC'ing which I really enjoyed and have just got bigger and better since then.

So while it is definitely not fit for my requirements now I am sure there is people out there just getting into their first CPU OC which this product may be perfect for.

Would it really have been that much to just include both mounting kits? Maybe an extra $2?
