EK First to Support Cooling of De-Lidded AMD A-Series Processors

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium water cooling gear manufacturer, is proud to introduce the EK-Supremacy PreciseMount Add-on Naked APU. This product is world-first of it's kind - it is the mounting mechanism upgrade for existing cooling device, designed to support de-lidded 1st- (Llano), 2nd- (Richland / Trinity) and 3rd (Kaveri) generation AMD A-series APU processors. This product is the perfect upgrade for all those EK-Supremacy users who want to use their de-lidded AMD A-series APUs safely and squeeze the last megahertz out of their processors!

EK-Supremacy PreciseMount Add-on Naked APU is an add-on for EK-Supremacy PreciseMount universal mounting mechanism that offers error-preventing, tool-less installation. The result is a perfect installation which results in perfect performance every time. It is recommended to replace the existing M4x16 DIN7991 screws with the enclosed M4x16 DIN965 screws in order for water block to clear the plastic socket. The enclosed Naked Ivy screws are made of high-quality nickel plated brass.

In fact it is intended to be used by expert users only as removing the CPU IHS is a delicate process. EK Water Blocks will not be held responsible for any failed removal operation that resulted in death of the computer component! Please note that removing the IHS from your AMD CPU will result in voiding the warranty. Please do not try to remove IHS from other AMD Socket AM3(+) CPUs, including FX series (such as Phenom II, Thuban, Zambezi, Vishera and Centurion) as the core (die) is soldered to the IHS with aforementioned models. Any attempts to remove the IHS from such processor will result in irreparable damage to the CPU.

Who, where? I admit I haven't looked as my system is doing just fine... though it was a little fussy at first getting the WB tightened correctly.

I fail to see what's so confusing about this... AMD recently got a round of love from the motherboard makers, so why not from the cooling solutions ones as well?

The mobo in the picture is low end which is confusing if they showed a Gigabyte A88X G1.sniper or an Asrock A88X Killer it'd make sense.

To make matters worse, it shows a FM1 APU on a FM1 board. Not FM2+.

Srsly, what is this BS? Back in times of Socket 939/AM2 I've just cut the mounting frame, rubbed little bit here and there and it worked even with box cooler. Than AMD started using exactly the same two pieces of plastic I created this way as oficial "frame" for Socket FM1 to save half a cent on plastic.

You don't need any bloody crap even for ataching box cooler on IHS-less processor, the less something like this for water block. Every reasonable water block is to be tuned to fasten it little bit more or less, so what is this about? They want extra dollars for ordinary screws? Jeez. Next time they'll try to sell you the sunrise.

extreme cooling kit (EK naked die mounting kit) is being advertised on an FM1 board (old technology) that is not designed for overclocking (complete lack of heatsinks on the VRMs). It's a completely backwards choice of hardware to advertise an enthusiast product on, as everyone else above me has understood perfectly fine.

I thought you where talking about why for FM2+, not why on the board in the picture, I honestly didn't even notice it, cause I don't care, if I'd buy this kit, it'd be for a my motherboard, not for a digital image. LOL
But aside from all of this, indeed, WTF's up with that, do they use low end pseudo no-name boards to not advertise MB brands or what...
