These would be for APU powered laptops. 1600 MHz. DDR3 for a CPU is not a system bottleneck.

Just because a component "is not a system bottleneck" doesn't mean it can't speed up the system, it just means that it's not slowing other components down. This is most often expressed by gamers, as applied to a slow CPU "bottlenecking" the GPU, causing a lower frame rate than otherwise possible. Gaming isn't everything, and some of us actually use our PCs for other tasks, things which benefit from fast RAM and CPU overclocking. Posters to enthusiast forums often talk about PCs as if gaming is the only thing that matters, and that's a narrow-minded attitude considering the possibilities of a high-end machine. TechPowerUp members are generally more diversified in their understanding of those possibilities, and not just a bunch of boy gamers gushing over the latest releases. That's why TPU is the best place to go for real info about everything, and why it's my favorite tech site. And we have Jorge....

I think people are forgetting that these are SODIMMs, as in, for laptops and really small form factor computers. I don't think overclocking is the goal for these DIMMs. Additionally, I would like this a lot more if it was regular desktop DIMMs @ 2133Mhz @ 1.35v.

I have their 1866MHz CL10 kit in my laptop and it's pretty nice. I wonder if my laptop (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834198039) would run these at 2133 as it handles the 1866 kit at rated speed, but I am not in a hurry to drop nearly $200 again on RAM.

That's the plan. I actually expected to have review for launch, but samples were delayed. No big deal though, when they arrive I'll have a review quickly. I got a nice little ASRock Haswell-based HTPC with OC capabilities to test with.
