Inter-Tech has today launched a new, aluminum PC chassis, the ITX E-D3. Pictured below, the case measures 260 x 222 x 224mm, it supports Mini ITX motherboards, and features top-placed USB (one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0) and audio ports, one 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch drive slots, and a pre-installed 120 mm fan (on the top panel).

The ITX E-D3 is backed by a two-year warranty and is listed for pre-order with a price tag just shy of €30.

Super cool little cube case and a really nice price to go with it!. I like the understated look it has. Assuming the floor has vents (hard to tell for sure in the second photo) you could probably fit a reasonably powerful system in here with one of the short GTX 760 cards by ASUS or MSI. You might have to get creative with drive placement given there aren't any mounting points that I can see in the photos, although there may be spots for drives behind the front panel. The top fan and side PSU intake leaves room for a low-profile CPU cooler or a closed loop water cooler. With a Maximus VI Impact using an M.2 SSD you could even rely on a NAS for mass storage and ditch the need for any other internal drives.

The front panel is plain and boring. We already have plenty of those, especially from Fractal and Lian Li. ZZZzzz

I agree with you; everyone's going for the classy understated look these days, and they're all starting to look alike. Lian Li probably started the trend, companies like Corsair and Fractal carried it into the mainstream, now everyone offers a line of quiet cases, brushed-metal fronts with monolithic exteriors, invisible fan mounts, etc. This is better than the rocket ship aesthetic that was the rage a while back, or the industrial look that came after, but like you said, it gets boring. There's a happy medium in there, cases that look sporty and understated, classy yet interesting. Two that come to mind are the Corsair Graphite 230T and their still-not-generally-available Graphite 760T. Both manage to look fresh and somewhat unique without going overboard. I just finished building a Haswell i3 system with a Rebel Orange 230T ($80), and I think it looks great. When the 760T becomes available, I'm ditching my 400R and putting my main rig in one.

Do these cases from Fractal and Lian Li cost less than 30 euros brand new? I think not. For what it is, I'd say finally budget-oriented mini-ITX case competing with CM Elite 120/130. Amazing value it looks like. Can't wait to launch it, may be TPU will get some hands on as well. :)
