GIGABYTE unveiled the lightest 15.6" gaming laptop, called the 'Ultraforce' P35W v2. Measuring only 20.9 mm thin and weighing 2.16 kg, P35W v2 is powered by 4th-gen Intel Core i7 Processor and potent NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M GDDR5 6 GB VRAM (scoring P7109 in 3DMark 11) delivering amazing gameplay and smooth-rendering of 3D graphics.

P35W v2 caters to the growing demand in mobile gaming, creating a full-throttled gaming experience without the bulk and heft synonymous in the gaming laptop category. P35W v2 boasts an elegant sandblasted aluminum matte finish, sleek and subtle for a boardroom yet enough firepower under the hood to power through games. 'Ultraforce' superior mobility releases power users from the shackles of desktop, providing uncompromised performance for playing major game titles or running resource-demanding applications on the go.

Thrilling Performance, Lightning Response & Flexible Storage: GTX 870M + 4 TB
The powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M GDDR5 6 GB VRAM surges to P7109 in 3DMark11 and 4th-gen Intel Core i7 Processor provides better battery life and improved power efficiency in the P35W v2. The hot-swappable ODD/HDD Bay adds flexibility for ultimate convenience and numerous possibilities for user customization. Unique massive quad-storage supports four SSDs up to a total of 2 TB or two 512 MB mSATA SSDs plus two 1.5 TB HDDs for a maximum of 4 TB. GIGABYTE RAID STORM (3 mSATA SSD RAID 0) transmissions make for speedy responses while the massive storage houses larger files ready for access. With GIGABYTE exclusive Supra-Cool technology, P35W v2 is able to pack dual thermal pipes plus two dedicated fans for CPU & GPU, ensuring optimal cooling for the most arduous of tasks and gaming.

Sensational Vision: FHD Wide Viewing Angle Display & Adaptive Backlit
Full HD anti-glare display with over 170° wide viewing angle enhances color representation delivering clear and vivid images for viewing from any direction; wide viewing angle panel with 72% color gamut guarantees superb color accuracy for immersive gameplay and captivating multimedia entertainment. A Mini DisplayPort readies output to an external display up to 4K while built-in sound optimization and Blu-ray drive turns P35W v2 into a mobile personal theater. The backlit keyboard adjusts brightness depending on your need for accurate key strokes while gaming or typing in dimly lit conditions.

Smart Integration: Taking User Experience to a New Level
In addition to all the outstanding features on the P35W v2, the integrated hardware and innovative software make for an intuitive User-Interface. GIGABYTE Smart Manager allows the user to control many facets of the P35W v2 with just one click. For instance, GIGABYTE Fan Tweak offers 3 modes of fan speed for easy configuration while system stability is assured. LAN Optimizer eliminates network latency and improves online gaming and/or web browsing by prioritizing the desired type of packets according to user settings. LockWin Key allows Windows Key to be locked during gaming sessions, freeing gamers from interruptions in gameplay. The P35W v2 is created to ensure gamers enjoy the best playing time anytime, anywhere.

Seems like one hell of a 15.6" laptop, but I'm not letting go of my 6 month old, $1000 CyberPowerPC Fangbook Evo HX6-110 anytime soon as it suits my needs extremely well, and my GTX 765m is overclocked to 1046MHz along with a 240GB mSATA SSD and 16GB G.Skill DDR3-1866 CL10 RAM. If I were looking for a laptop right now though, might consider it though. :)

Yep, they could have even fit a 17" display there on the same size...
