But this doesn't represent the value of one of the other numerous X1200 chipset mATX mobos. Here you are essentially paying for a name.

And as to the Intel vs AMD comments, what if you don't have that much to spend on a cpu? The only Intel dual cores worth buying are the Core 2 Duos, any less of a budget, and AMD has the better cpu. Core2>AMD>PentiumD

Point taken, i know you can build a similar specced system for less, but the net cost of mine is a little over £500, that's without Tuner or OS but it is a mid to hi-spec htpc, which is a good price, considering what you can pay for a HTPC these days. I'm building my system based on this motherboard..and I can't find anything else that sports DDR2 800Mhz Memory, a HDMI 1.2 port on the back (nothing supporting 1.3 available yet..except maybe nVidia's offering in the 7050 next month) or using standard Core 2 CPU's, not Core2Duo mobile CPU's as a lot of mATX boards do, this also supports upto 16GB RAM, so essentially, can be a very powerful slim or small pc. I would say for a gaming PC, a board without on-board graphics would suit, as it's a little wasteful in this instance.
