Sapphire Unveils Radeon R7 250X GHz Edition

Sapphire unveiled a factory overclocked version of the mainstream Radeon R7 250X Vapor-X graphics card it launched back in February, the Radeon R7 250X GHz Edition. Based on the same exact board design, featuring the same dual-fan Vapor-X cooling solution as its predecessor, the GHz Edition card features clock speeds of 1000 MHz core, and 4.80 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory; compared to reference clock speeds of 925 MHz core and 4.50 GHz memory. The card takes in power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector. Display outputs include two dual-link DVI, and one each of HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2. Based on the 28 nm "Cape Verde" silicon, the Radeon R7 250X features 640 stream processors, 40 TMUs, 16 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. This card features 2 GB of it.

Ah, so this is a HD7770 rebrand. The cooler is kinda overkill for a card like this, but at least it runs quiet.

I've had many sapphire cards and their coolers are good and quiet.

i have 1GB edition the core clock is 1100mhz and memory 1300mhz
and bf4 runs very smoth 40 to 30 frams 1080p high settings

Well, all the above... although I'll add if can't price at like <$70 it's not worth looking at.

The lower-end price points for AMD's R7 250 - 260X (at least in the states) have marched-up. I consider AMD working pricing on all such model more aggressively over the coming months so a bad time to get one. As said above, what's basically a 7770 (while needing a 6-pin) seems "truly pricey" at the $100+ most are showing-up as today. If you can't get it for $70, you really should just grab the lowest cost GTX 750 and see +20% performance and no 6-pin.
