Falcon Northwest Debuts the Tiki-Z Micro-Tower Gaming PC

PC maker Falcon Northwest has created a radical upgrade option to the popular Tiki micro-tower: The Tiki-Z Special Edition. At only 4" wide and 13" tall, Tiki-Z retains the same physical size as the standard Tiki - roughly the size of an original XBOX game console. But behind Tiki-Z's new case window sits the fastest graphics card NVIDIA has ever made: the GeForce GTX TITAN Z-powered by two Kepler GPUs.

"Tiki-Z gives our customers the dual GPU option they've wanted since Tiki was first released." said Kelt Reeves, president of Falcon Northwest. "They can now play truly demanding 3D games at 4K resolution in a slim PC that can easily fit on anyone's desk. Tiki-Z takes our power-per-cubic-inch mission to an entirely new Level."





Putting NVIDIA's largest graphics card into Falcon's smallest PC presented some design challenges, so Tiki-Z incorporates several new modifications. For power, SilverStone created an entirely new modification of their tiny 600 Watt power supply to accommodate the demands of such a fast graphics card. Falcon then laser-cut venting and designed a special exhaust to accommodate TITAN Z's dual airflow, as well as added a case window with lighting to see the graphics engine inside. Form followed function, as the case window also serves as a custom air intake and duct to feed the TITAN Z cool air exactly where it needs it. It's truly a chassis built around a graphics card.

Tiki-Z also packs in the latest quad-core CPU option standard, the 4.4 GHz Intel Core i7-4790K "Devil's Canyon" processor, liquid cooled. Memory and storage options are all configurable, with Tiki-Z packing up to 6 terabytes of hard drive and SSD storage inside its tiny frame. To make each Tiki-Z truly unique, each one includes the single-color paintwork of the customer's choice. Any color of automotive paint made. Special effects and graphics are also available at additional charge.

Available today, each Tiki-Z will be custom built and painted to order. Pricing starts at $5,614, and for a limited time, every Tiki Z will include the spectacular ASUS PB287Q 28" 4K resolution (3840x2160) monitor at no extra charge. This 60Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time 4K monitor will ensure every Tiki-Z owner gets to see the full potential of their system.

3000$+ for TITAN-Z ....AMD-295X2 is1200€ +20% preformance and in 20 day we get GTX880 with x 12 for much les so whoo is so stupid to buy this. Beeg price is not the best PC in this case !

Ha Ha Ha, I totally knew they could fit it into the Tiki and that it would eventually happen.

But that price is too OP...

Whilst that is a fine rant... in the context of this thread, good luck getting that long power hungry beast with additional water cooling inside that case.

No, people said it couldn't be achieved in the form that the Falcon Northwest Tiki chassis used at the time - maybe you should check the wording of the original thread posts.

They cut the window an inch back and put some extra holes at the front wow such a difference swapping the side panel. That and I already showed plenty of PSUs to choose from at the time. Or now is modding going to be a problem?

Well, considering the original Tiki has a two slot expansion design and the Titan Z is a three slot design, I'd think that the modification went a little further than "a cut in the glass"...I'm also inclined to believe the vendor regarding the chassis modifications over some random - no offense.

Use your own eyes and answer the question of how yourself...Its in the pictures what they did if you look above...

Ill even give you a hint, check out EVGA's product lineup to get the answer of what they did/used.

And I'm inclined to believe the actual vendor as I said before. Triple slot reference GTX Titan-Z....and the modification list as I mentioned earlier goes a little further than just "....the same chassis with a cut in the glass exactly like the other tiki from before..."
In fact the vendors own words tend to contradict this ( as well as the "but, but, they modified the cards expansion plate and rear panel exhaust" grasping at straws immediately below this post):
"We created custom exhaust ports and deflectors to vent waste heat properly and support the weight of the massive Titan Z"

Use your own eyes and answer the question of how yourself ...Its in the pictures what they did if you look above...

I think your comprehension is letting you down again. The only question I asked was if you were aware that this site has PM so we wouldn't be witness to....whatever you and Xzibit have going on, and I'm pretty certain (thankfully) that it ISN'T depicted in the pictures

Sigh, seems your so adamant about not being proven wrong you result to insults as per usual. The answer was so simple I had assumed you could figure at least that much out from the pictures since it clearly shows that the standard bracket for the Titan-Z is not used. But the simplest answer and way to resolve this was to call Falcon Northwest themselves and ask which is what I did using the simple 1888 number they have listed on their site. The gentlemen I spoke to answered the question quite easily, his response and I quote:

"The Titan-Z is not a 3 slot card it is a 2.5 slot card with a bracket that has the third slot filled in. We have opted to modify the card with a 2 slot bracket which allowed it to fit in the Tiki chasis since the tiki already contained the room for a full 3 slot card with a bit of room remaining. The modifications done to the Tiki are additional airflow added through the window that we allow for custom designs or pick from our selection of different design which includes the standard Nvidia logo and the addition of the vent for the Titan-Z to exhaust."

Answer was cut and dry from the beginning and obvious to solve with just our eyes and the pictures provided as the standard Square Vent cuts in the rear of the case are visible in the pictures which already ruled out the 3 slot bracket.

With that this conversation is ended completely, you can continue if you wish but the answer has been found.
