Ahead of its launch, we scooped a few more details of the XB270HAbprz, a high-end variant of Acer's upcoming XB0 line of monitors that support NVIDIA G-Sync. There's good news, and bad news. Bad news first. The XB270HAbprz features just full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) native resolution, which at 27-inch size, is bound to look dotty for the keen-eyed. It is based on a TN-film panel. The good news, however, is that the display offers a staggering 144 Hz of refresh rate, which means it can drive 3D at 72 Hz per plane, and a blazing response time of 1 ms. Other vitals include 300 cd/m² maximum brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio with dynamic mega-contrast, and viewing angles of 160° V, 170° H. Inputs include a DisplayPort 1.2 connector, with dual-link DVI adapter. It lacks any internal speakers, but features a 4-port USB 3.0 hub.

g-sync monitors shouldn't have that premium in their price because they encourage people to buy nvidia, gpu's.

where is price? (how can you determine premium then?) and I hope you compare this to other 144hz monitors (if you have price to compare)

Didn't you just say and I quote
I'll post a full review once I receive the monitor. It's about 2 weeks out according to PCnation.
So how would you know because to me it sounds like you do not have your Swift yet so you can't be gaming on it?

All in all this monitor is a bit overpriced for what it is...There are much better monitors including ones with G-Sync if you must have it for not much more with more robust setups and 4k monitors cheaper than this.

I guess you can't read signatures very well or hate seeing people with things that you wish you could...

I have 2 rigs BTW..... Swif for the SLI rig at home. ASUS VG248QE for work.

Haters gonna hate.

Yea I wish I could buy overpriced weaker video cards and less of them for my system, you caught me...I also wish to spend more on a lower resolution monitor...

If your going to be completely rude about something make sure you have your facts right or read someone else system specs first before trying to show off...

Also the VG249QE Does not naturally have G-SYNC in every config...You also do not list that monitor as having G-SYNC and the only monitor you ever rave about on every post is the Swift.

Also have you ever heard of the edit button?

we'll if your going to try and call out someone then do your home work first. Also my Sig shows Gsync.....

Sorry if I came off Brash, There are soo many damn haters and trolls on this techpowerup forums. If one even dares mention a TN panel or Gsync they instantly become a troll target.

Well if you had not noticed I have been defending G-Sync and the Swift for the most part pretty constantly even without having an Nvidia Card in my Desktop...I have played on a Gsync monitor on a friends system who has 3 GTX 780's so I have seen first hand how it acts.

I also defend TN constantly and love my TN monitors more than my IPS panels for gaming...

Your sig says G-sync but not on the other monitor, just says G-Sync and the monitor listed the ROG Swift was assumed to be that monitor and that you were waiting since the other one does not have it on all variants...

You seem to love spamming threads about how much you and g-sync are in bed together.

Yup cant say enough about it. I never see anyone with a Gsync monitor make any post. Just entitled little trolls who feel every thing should be free.

In all honesty, I thought it was nice playing BF4 at 1080p 144hz with the Gsync Module because it was very smooth at that high a refresh even when skipping around. I do think though its a very niche product that enhances gaming and mostly see it only great at a 100+hz refresh rate because game stability is hard to maintain at those levels and that is where G-Sync is excellent when the game is not perfectly running at a constant FPS matched to the monitors set refresh. The Swift is the prime example of a monitor with G-Sync going together very well because that's an area that it makes the most sense of all at 144hz and a higher than 1080p resolution.

That being said, its not enough to force me to sell my 290X trio right now.

G-Sync will likely not last long once the new DisplayPort coming with variable refresh rate support becomes a new standard.

exactly, that is why I'm using my current Gsync monitor on my single 780 rig.

for 1440p thats going to take some more power and will fit just right with the SLI rig

G-Sync will likely not last long once the new DisplayPort coming with variable refresh rate support becomes a new standard.

yah that's not how that tech works.

Requires a logic board with VR capability. the latest AMD FAQ now show they miss lead everyone.

Hitman, this is a news article about a G-Sync enabled monitor so you can share as much of the love for it you want, however if you continue to cause me more work having to merge your countless double posts I will have to start deleting all that love :)
