Antec Inc., a global leader in high-performance computer enclosures, power supplies, and mobile accessories today announces the availability of the GX300, the latest addition to Antec's GX series. There is also a version with a window in the side panel available, the GX300 Window. The GX300 is now commercially available from 59€ (suggested retail price including VAT) and is backed by Antec's Quality 3-Year Warranty.

The Midi-Tower is painted black inside and out and features an advanced cooling system as well as rounded upper and lower edges. The GX300 is a clean yet aggressive case with space for high-end graphics cards up to a length of 15.7 inches (400 mm), as well as extra space behind the motherboard tray and routing holes to ensure a neat and tidy build. Thanks to its cutout for the CPU and generous space for cable management, it is fun and easy to assemble a system.

The top-mounted IO panel allows direct access to the main components, such as USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, Audio jacks, the power button, a fan control switch (high & low speeds) and last but not least an illuminated LED indicator. The GX300 accommodates Standard ATX, microATX, and mini-ITX motherboards and features six tool less drive bays (6x 2.5" bays or 6 x 3.5" bays) for an easy installation, seven PCI-E slots for multi-GPC expansion and supports multiple graphic cards.

The advanced cooling system includes fan mounts for two 120 mm top exhaust fans, a mount for one 120mm rear exhaust fan as well as two mounts for 120mm front intake fans. The chassis features an elevated stand for improved air flow management.

"At a very competitive price, the GX300 offers a lot of features and lets users be prepared for future upgrades", explains Jerome Francois, Sales Director Europe at Antec. "It demonstrates the opportunity to create an up-to-date system with great airflow and space for the latest components."

Hmm, honestly not a bad look as I could dig this as a nice gamer case with the side window as it seems to have the design choices to make it seem like a great gamer case.

Yep, my only concern though is it barely seems wide enough to take some of the bigger and/or better cpu coolers.

I agree, I thought when I first saw it the device looked pretty skinny but I could see a nice spot for an AIO on it which at least will give it some decent CPU cooler support. Though I would be sad if its not wide enough to fit something like an Hyper212 Evo as that is a nice budget/popular choice CPU cooler out there. I might have to look up its dimensions to see how much room there is.

Is this from the same guys that gave us the 300/302?
Can't be!
Where's the elegance of lines? The obvious airflow?

I say that after the Antec 302 and the Cooler Master 690 II something was lost.

An Entry-level Chassis that's 19" tall, and then only wide enough for a 140mm cooler that's not... cool, this is basically set-up for an AIO.

While I like the looks, I loathe top mount I/O! Why can't they make the a configurable module that could be placed top, front-top/mid, or even bottom front if that's what you like

140mm CPU clearance. That eliminates most if not all the good Air cooler with 140mm or 120mm fans which run 150mm to 170mm. Your going to need a 92mm HSF or a 120mm low clearance HSF.

I personally don't like the top because top connectors/buttons leads to more dust accumulation over time but its an entry level case.

I... actually like the design. Just one thing, 60$ may be bit on the high side. Expected a 45-50$ price tag

IMO there is really no reason to buy this over similarly-priced offerings from Corsair, NZXT, Fractal, Cooler Master, etc. Cheap fans, cheap plastics, (presumably) cheap steel, zero innovation.

Antec really needs to get their accounts out of design positions.
