Corsair, a worldwide leader in high-performance PC hardware, today announced the release of the Neutron Series XT SSDs. Available in 240GB, 480GB or massive 960GB capacities, the Neutron XT boasts phenomenal performance for those who accept no compromises when it comes to their storage.

With SSDs becoming an essential addition to any enthusiast PC build, the Neutron XT takes things one step further, combining amazing data performance with a range of capacities to suit even the most data hungry. Equipped with a state-of-the-art quad-core Phison SSD controller and advanced MLC NAND for superior reliability and endurance, the Neutron XT is able to deliver sequential read speeds of 560MB/sec and sequential write speeds of 540MB/sec, pushing the SATA 6Gb/s interface to its limits. The sheer speed advantage versus standard hard disk drives and low-end SSDs is enormous-operating systems are more responsive, programs open quicker and games load faster, improving the whole experience of using your PC.

The Neutron XT isn't just about performance; it's packed with extreme reliability features to provide maximum stability, reliability and peace of mind for your data. SmartFlush and SmartRefresh technologies offer enterprise level data management and retention in the event of power failure and advanced wear-levelling and garbage collection help maintain performance over the life of the drive. A five year warranty backs Corsair's commitment to the Neutron XT's quality and longevity.

A slim-line 7mm casing makes it easy to install Neutron XT into any desktop PC or notebook with a 2.5 inch drive bay, and with its striking red casing it's sure to take pride of place in any high-performance PC. Corsair's SSD Toolbox makes drive maintenance easy too, allowing you to update drive firmware, optimise operating system performance, clone an existing hard drive, or securely erase all data on the drive, all from your PC's desktop.

Pricing, Availability, and Warranty
Available immediately from Corsair's worldwide network of authorized retailers, the Neutron XT 256GB is priced at a MSRP of $149.99, the Neutron XT 512GB at $269.99 and the Neutron XT 960GB at $539.99.

I like the MSRP prices knowing what retail would be... but I cannot wait for the day we get the stupid sata cap lifted. Everyone and their dog has a drive that does 550ish and they all feel the same in real world apps.
