Corsair Launches the HX1200i Power Supply

It works fine for me. At least compared to what some reviewers found when Corsair Link first launched, currently it's good enough.

It's buggy if used with NZXT CAM and vice-versa. I don't believe they found a workaround or if they are interested in finding one.

I think I may have seen it on the Corsair forum. There's an AX1500i out now, which replaces it.

I saw that some time ago now though that I saw this and just checking it now I'm still seeing it listed with online retailers so maybe it hasn't been discontinued or there's a lot of stock left over.

I only know about this, because I bought one back in May that worked fine for 3 days, but then started making that damned clicking noise in "silent" mode with the fan stopped. It's ended up being a design fault and there's a saga behind it for me to get a refund. It's still ongoing, so I'll start a thread about it when it's all resolved.

AXi is higher end than HXi in Corsair's range (also HXi came out after AXi) so will gave that bit better efficiency and likely regulation. Just google for reviews if you want to compare. TPU reviewed the AX1200i a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. If I remember correctly, there's more digital circuitry in AXi PSUs than HXi PSUs.

Well, from a consumer perspective, not knowing anything about the innards, would you buy the AXi now that the HXi matches it spec wise?
