either the CFO is terrible at their job, or they have no power to do anything. Last year they posted an 83million dollar loss, something they could easily have mitigated this year with a small increase in revenue. They got that increase (4% which still beats inflation even) and yet post an even bigger loss? Forget sales, this is a management issue.

truth be told a single thread game can run twice as good on a i5 and even when a 83xx is used to its whole ability a i5 is right there with it. whats bad in the oem segment is people getting a laptop with only integrated graphics that they want to play games on and its intel..heck even those all in ones have intel graphics. oem's should be jumping allover kaveri and carrizo. the heterogeneous architecture they carry is something great for consumers and preferred by samsung and arm just to name a few.
The problem is, most people who have laptops DONT PLAY GAMES. The primary function of a normal laptop is to surf the web, type papers, ece, and intel performs those tasks well while gettimg MUCH longer battery life than the AMD varients. gaming laptops use nvidia gpus for a reason.
besides, the a10-5750m's gpu is supossedly ~40% faster then the intel hd 4600 mobile gpu. in benchmarks, the max may be higher for AMD but the average is barely different. bulldozer is just to anemic to let the gpu work properly. AMD needed to abandon bulldozer out of the gate and refine k10 instead, rather than push bulldozer everywhere they could.

shit loads of people use laptops for games and have little to no idea what they are buying or even know about true gaming laptops like msi and asus make.

would you not say in a perfect world your cpu and gpu would work seamlessly together for the fastest and most efficient experience.

Markus Persson bought 70 million $ mansion. But nobody attacked him. But if you spend extra 100$ (your earned) to buy Intel/Nvidia over AMD it's become personal insult to someone.

If AMD is cheap maybe you should buy AMD stuff every week not spread propaganda.

actually its personal preferences of customers, some people more comfortable with INTEL/NVIDIA and some with AMD. one just can't alter the others choices and preferences.

not all can bear the noise of AMD GPU fan in there room like Sapphire vaporX and not all want to upgrade to expensive PSU for specific high end AMD horsepower. why people lean more towards NVIDIA gpu? its due to multiple reasons. like low power consumption/Silent/software benefit and now price/performance from maxwell.

But some people do have psyche of leaning towards one product or brand without knowing its benefits or draw backs of other brand/product.

Find the guy responsible for bulldozer's architecture and make him pay every missing dollar.
Can't agree more with this one. I remember all the hype, but it just never lived up to it. Sad to learn that one family of cpu's ruined the entire companies revenue.
