Indeed. Something inside me can't wait for the ever-present complaints that this product is "crap" because their US outlet won't deliver the full 2000W. It always happens.

In the U.S. aren't 1,500w PSU's very near the maximum wattage output from the wall?

You can buy 2,000 watt hair dryers so I guess this PSU would be alright so long as it was on a 20 amp breaker and nothing else running off of that breaker.

15Ax120V= 1800Watts more or less. So yes you'd need either a 240V line (best) or a 20AMP circuit (lots of new homes have them, they have a little "L" in the plug) and suitably thick cabling.

ASICS vary wildly, and as often as not expect a PSU.

And yes, considering almost everything DC converter wise is dual voltage now, 240V AC on everything is what I'd do if I had the ability. Seriously, Edison is dead. Stop fearing high voltage AC already.

The larger Th/s units generally use redundant PSU's built in which are rated around 1,000W total. Smaller Asics require a PSU and can be daisy chained on the PCI-e connectors. The ASICs I have are rated at 110Gh/s and require 12V and 9A each.
My set up is regarded as a small, home mining rig.

How? You cant add 110v together to make it 220v. Its AC voltage. You can do that with DC voltage but not on AC voltage.

you still need external supplier not unless you buy your own generator from Europe or Asia because all you can buy in US is 110v.

I could be wrong that 110V is standard in US and no states has a 220v. Please someone correct me if I am wrong.

Well, I've seen 220v, 440v and even 600v setups here. Some AC units use 220v, and on the higher voltage things I usually see things like welders or some other type of industrial equipment. Not sure how that's hooked up though.

The mains in the street is way more than 110v, usually it is several kV. Just a question of getting a 220/230v transformer. I bet it could actually save you some electricity over a long period of time as the lower current will reduce thermal dissipation in cables, etc. On top of the increased efficiency of 230v electronics over 110v,

Yes of course from the main distribution. But do you think any state will offer that kind of voltage? With all the appliances offered in US is 110v, do you think they would dare offer a 220v connection in the households? With so plenty of ridiculous lawsuit in the US, they will just sue every person, government or whomever they think they milk out of it. People will just say," Oh I didnt know that its a 110v appliances."

anyway, lets not talk about it. I know for sure alot of the gamers with powerful rig wanted 220v for better efficiency but they are only like what? 5% of them all? If US will simply implement 220v, imagine all the household appliances, not to mention offices and factories and so on.

There are plenty of 220v things in the US, in residential houses no less. The rental property I own is all electric. The stove is 220v, the cloths dryer is 220v, the water heater is 220v, the furnace is 220v. And the power coming in to most residential houses in the US is actually 220v. However, I don't know if I'm using the exact terms right, but it is 220v dual-phase. It is basically two hot wires, each running opposite phase from each other. If you hook a circuit up to just one of the hot wires and a neutral, you get 120v single-phase. If you hook up both hot wires, you get 220v dual-phase. This is still different from the 220v used in most other countries, as I believe they use 220v single-phase.

Anyway, you can basically get an electrician to wire a 220v plug pretty much anywhere in your house you want. But they use a different plug than standard 120v, for obvious reasons. Bad stuff can happen if you try to plug 120v equipment into 220v.

FYI, superflower is one of the best OEM PSU manufacturer. EVGA G2 and P2 PSU's are superflower OEM.

That PSU is beautiful. Too bad I have to buy a house with 20A circuit -_-. But one day, ohh one day, this, or similar PSU goes into my RIG in my designated man-cave
