The DIGIFANLESS 550W is the first digital and fanless power supply from ENERMAX. Based on a performance-capable passive cooling system, DIGIFANLESS allows for a completely silent PC operation (0db(A)). Latest ENERMAX technology and durable, high-quality components allow for a rock-stable and energy-efficient operation with 93% peak efficiency (80 PLUS Platinum certified). The fanless PSU is equipped with a digital interface to read out and control the most essential power values via the brand-new ZDPMS software from ENERMAX (for example voltage, current, efficiency or temperature). Last, but not least, the new flagship power supply provides a flexible full-modular cable management with precious, individually sleeved wires.

ENERMAX introduces the brand new ZDPMS (Zero Delay Power Monitor System) for most comfortable and precise PSU monitoring and control. The easy and instinct user interface (UI) informs about the system power consumption, efficiency, temperature, output voltage and ampere. For systems which have special 12V loading requirements, such as overclocking or test platforms, DIGIFANLESS allows users or system engineers/FAE to fine tune the 12V output voltage within +/- 3% regulation, and switch between 12V single or dual rail mode. In case of critical temperatures, voltages or currents, the ZDPMS software displays warning messages, so that the user can take precautionary measures to avoid a system shut down. The OVP and OCP warning point can be set individually. Finally, ZDPMS comes with an energy consumption calculator. Just input your regional average electricity fare and CO2 footprint profile, and the software will estimate the system electricity cost and CO2 emission factor.

Leading ENERMAX Technology for a Stable 0db(A) Operation
Since 1990, ENERMAX has always been a pioneer in PSU industry. ENERMAX power supplies are synonyms of quality & innovative technology. The DIGIFANLESS sets a new milestone as it is the world's first digital fanless power supply. It is 80 PLUS Platinum certified with 93% peak efficiency, and complies with the Intel recommended 2013 ErP Lot 6 standard which will limit the standby power consumption to max. 0.5W. In addition, the internal patented copper bridge array reduces the electrical resistance which significantly improves the voltage regulation and maximizes the efficiency. ENERMAX applies 105°C Japanese electrolytic capacitors, high-grade MOSFETs, and high-density array of aluminum heatsinks for utmost passive cooling performance and a continuous full power output at 40°C ambient temperature. The DC-to-DC circuit with Zero-Load Design ensures the full compatibility with the latest C6/C7 power saving modes of Intel and AMD CPUs, and provides a most stable performance even at extreme dynamic loads. The DIGIFANLESS is a masterpiece of ENERMAX engineering providing a silent, energy-efficient and durable power supply in any situation.

Full-Modular Design with Precious Cable Sleeving
DIGIFANLESS comes with a full-modular and flexible cable management which simplifies the system installation. Following numerous requests from ENERMAX customers, modders and aesthetes, each wire is sleeved individually which creates an outstanding and precious appearance.

The ENERMAX DIGIFANLESS 550W power supply with passive cooling system and digital monitoring interface is designed for highest demands in terms of silence, quality, performance and usability. The new masterpiece from ENERMAX will be available in March 2015.

Joke aside, always happy about fanless PSU's, though my CM Silent Pro is inaudible anyway.

Only 550 watts? :(

How much do you want it to be with no fan? Silverstone Nightjar is 520, I don't think I've seen a fanless PSU go over this wattage. It's kinda lots of heat to dissipate.

Enermax marketing sure like the word "precious".

I wonder if this is a truly digital PSU like the Corsair AXi series, or only digital in the sense it allows you to monitor voltages - I'm guessing the latter.

Why bother when you can buy a Seasonic? Unless there is something in this PSU that you can't get from Seasonic that is of actual value and not marketing hype, it's pointless. In addition even the higher output 660W Seasonic's with fan control do not even run the fan until ~50% load or higher and then you can't even hear the fan at the low speed it runs. Thus unless you have some special need for a 100% noiseless PSU, a std. Seasonic or rebranded Seasonic PSU should be fine IME.

Yes so it's.
From the Review it looks like it's a solid unit but until I don't have one of them i can't give a full opinion about it but let me buy one and then I will let you know:D

That's what I thought. The reason why they can do this is because it is 80+ Platinum certified. Less than 8% is lost as heat which is only 44 watts at 100% load.

That's exactly the person this is marketed to. It's a fanless PSU. Seasonic also makes them, but not with 660W.

Thats pretty neat
To Enermax's credit I have 2 of them that were bought in the core2 era that still work to this day, which is pretty good considering the price.

My Enermax Galaxy 1000w DXX power supply is still going strong... bought it in 2007 and its pretty much been on 24/7 powering all of my rigs to date.
I don't want to push my luck so I recently bought a corsair 650w psu along with a new corsair case which should arrive later today. (Yay new toys!)

Don't you find the soft whirring of fans a bit relieving? I do.
It's the only reason I run WCG all night; the sound of maxed fans.

Seasonic PSUs have been known to have coil whine. 330W of load fanless isn't particularly special.
If they're so known to have coil whine, why have the last 3 PSUs I've bought from Seasonic been perfect in that regard? Do they sometimes have coil whine? I'm sure they do, but I wouldn't say they all have it considering I'm 3 for 3 without it on any machine they're in. Also Seasonic fans tend to scale to heat, not power output iirc. It's worth mentioning on all 3 Seasonic units I've bought, they all are very quiet and my 1000-watt Platinum is almost never audible.

I've bought the 1000w Platinum I have in my tower, along with a 520 gold and a 550 gold.

The electronic components and PCB are top notch look how they are precized.

Amazing from Enermax and from them you can expect the best of the best in my opinion.

I had from them one of the Galaxy PSU back in the days.
