Logitech Announces the Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus

Today Logitech announced the Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus, a living room keyboard that lets you comfortably control your computer screen on your TV. The K400 Plus features a wireless range of up to 33 feet and an integrated touchpad, making it easy to stream movies, TV shows, music and other entertainment on your PC from your couch.

"The living room is a place where we come to relax, entertain ourselves and connect with friends and family," said Charlotte Johs, global vice president of computer peripherals at Logitech. "The Logitech Wireless Keyboard K400 Plus makes it easy to connect your PC to the TV and search for Internet content."



Building off the popular Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400, the K400 Plus features a responsive integrated touchpad with adjustable cursor control, making it a compact all-in-one keyboard and mouse solution. Shortcut buttons give you easy access to volume controls and menu navigation, and the intuitive arrow buttons help you get to your digital entertainment quickly.

Pricing and Availability

They also rounded over the upper left and right keys.

I mean for $40 you can't expect anything revolutionary, the design is solid already. If you want better look at the K800 series.

It's the design of the caps lock key, used t o be common that the caps lock would be part indented so accidental presses would be a lot less likely.

That isn't possible with this style of keyboard.

They fixed the right shift key which made the last model a pain to type with. It's the only real issue I have with my K400 (spare kb) aside from the ugly design on the touchpad it has.

That isn't possible with this style of keyboard.

Sure they could not make the indent as deep but they could put a bit of one in the key by the looks of it.

Anyways FAVI with bluetooth owns it anyways.

Couldn't stand my FAVI, doing any typing on it was useless. Works ok for contolling Kodi, but that was it.

This is the one i use, the only thing i dislike with it is the ROKU as it's not supported still .

I just got the k400 about 3 weeks ago myself. I don't see much benefit of this one over the k400.

It isn't really that I had issues, just that I hated typing on it. But then again I hate typing on a phone keyboard too, I prefer a full size keyboard and type much faster on a full size keyboard. But like you said, to each their own.

I will say them re-arranging the arrow keys to make the right shift properly laid out is a nice benefit. There are some small subtle improvement, but that is all the keyboard needs. It isn't like they are charging more for the K400 Plus, it is $40 just like the original K400. The K400 Plus is just replacing the old K400 in the product stack.

I love my K400 saves me the effort of having a sep. mouse+KB for HTPC I kinda was turned off the favi because it's too small.

It kind of looks like they went out of there way to pick an ugly shade of yellow. I happen to have this same color on my Logitech LS1 mouse...believe it or not...it actually looks worse in person.

I was going to pick up the K400 about three months back, but Microsoft's media keyboard was on sale for 3 bucks less...and my budget was tight. For 21.99, it's not a bad keyboard either. Rather durable and works at a pretty decent distance, around corners etc.

A lot of people own(and like) the K400, I hope this holds up to the prior keyboards reputation.

if they had the K400 plus available i might have not had choose that one (and at a price under 40chf ...)

also it doesn't mention it, or i am blind, is the touchpad gesture capable?

I hate typing on phones to but never had a issue with the FAVI which mine to is back lit and has a awesome battery life.

It should be gesture capable. The k400 is.

The diNovo edge was expensive as hell, which is why it didn't sell.

Plus, the touch wheel thing was cool, but since it didn't support gestures it didn't work correctly with Windows 8.

i use mine just fine in windows 8, although i don't use the gestures. a re-release should be cheaper, parts usually drop in price.

i prefer my K400r over this, i especially hate the squished arrow buttons.... seems they just moved the media buttons and replaced a few Fn for android (F1,2,3,4)
