AMD unveiled the fastest graphics card money will be able to buy, a dual-GPU graphics card based on its swanky new "Fiji" silicon. This card will feature 8 GB of memory, and packs two "Fiji" cores in an internal multi-GPU configuration. The card will offer smooth 5K (four times 1440p resolution) gaming. Fiji introduces 50% improvements in performance-per-Watt over the previous-generation "Hawaii" silicon, while staying at 28 nm.

WTF, i don't personally care. i have heard enough of your BS.

lol.

The 50% increase in power efficiency is nice to hear. Maybe this won't be a flop.

And 2 years old rebranded 390X for $450...
I am hating AMD for this, they could have just released Fury and then a month or so later released lower end cards like what nVidia does with its release(Even AMD used to do this in the past especially with HD 7000 family of cards).

Not enough HBM for all the cards

It's not BS. They out right are selling the 390X as the "New Era" for PC gamning - that's just utter freaking PR lies.

Let's not ignore Fiji - it looks pretty damn awesome right now but we need to wait for the reviews (Booooooo!).

But really, a 290X in a new jacket and call it a "New Era" - GTFO.

nvidia didnt this time around.. the 750(ti) was released way before the rest of the lineup and the 970 was released before the 980.

And I have enough of stupid fanboys who buy all the rebranded cards, just encouraging everyone to do even more of this crap. You're the source of the problems, not me...

Wha ?, a bunch of the games i play required me to upgrade from my 6970 due to the 2GB limit so get your facts right, and if i were to upgrade from my 290X it be no Fury of this year thats for sure as there is 100% no need as even underclocked it still maxes all my games out.

I am a fan of XFX as they have allways good good by me how ever i am not a fan of AMD although i am still very happy with my 290X near 2 years later.

I be waiting on 8GB Fury card or what ever nVidia come up with at that time.

No, the new era they were referring to, were not one, two, but five products based on Fiji. And they're compelling.

So. Cal.
Fiji and the especially the Nano (how they use that with Apple surly holding a ™ for that?) are still looking good from what perf/price might be...

I will say the stack pricing from 390X down isn't compelling, using the added memory and whatnot to prop-up pricing doesn't work. Especially on what's being called gelded Pitcairn and Bonaire parts!

I can't say if AMD truly, as of yet offered pricing on the line-up but site's are showing...
390X - $430 being shown... can't see that, should not be any more than $360 for AIB custom.
390 - $330 ~ s/b $280 (nice OC'd AIB custom up to $20 more)
380 - $200 ~ s/b $170 starting for 2Gb and 4Gb +$20
370 - $150 ~ s/b $130 starting for 2Gb and 4Gb +$20
360 - $110 ~ s/b $80

A 390 8Gb should with a 1Ghz clock could look good against many 970 customs, though I can't see holding the same MSRP as a 970, AMD has to best in performance and really press on price.

With the 380 sure they're given it 1GHz, though no change to memory clock, kind of blah. Nvidia has the efficiency angle (even better now), while has no problem dropping 960 price as definitely they work a lower cost BOM (small die 128-Bit, less power section PCB etc).

Then AMD believes they should be able to send a 370 (aka a R7 265) back in at the same MSRP as a year and half ago! o_O The 265 has been a $130 USD part and that without a rebate... I'm being super generous at $130, and that's for AIB OC customs, then for those who really see need for 4Gb please send your money. Considering I would go with a 750 over the old R7 260, now with a bump of memory clock and bandwidth while launching with the same pricing as back in Dec 2013... forget-about-it :shadedshu:

They never said the 390x is the "New Era" in gaming. The "New Era" in gaming encompass their entire high end models......you cant be that blind.

No, there was a specific slide with the R9 rebrands titled "New Era" for gaming.

I'm not blind.

And FTR - I like what Fiji has - it's awesome looking so far.

Found it on Hexus site: I win.

Interesting, I look forward to this dual card and how it performs. One improvement I would prefer is if they would put at least 3 8 pin connectors on the card (Or 2 8 pin and 1 6) instead of just 2 8 pins. Would be nice for overclocking and performance of the card and interest me possibly if I decide to go for duals again.

Either way, looking forward to seeing it in awhile.
