I love the idea of mobile G-Sync (Or even Freesync) strictly because your laptop can gain some extra life by not having the feeling of stutters or lag because the GPU is having trouble keeping up later on. My only complaint here is the choice of displays, I am all for the 1080p option by why no 1440p option? I would want that much more than a 4k option on the mobile end if for nothing else than its to difficult currently to run it with mobile GPU's (Even dual 970m's and 980m's have trouble).

There is generally a problem with laptop manufacturers. Must be their brain. There are tons screen models with different specs but apparently 1440p on a laptop is rocket science and 4k on a 17" and IPS is rocket science as well.

I agree, they should make more 1440p gaming laptops, that would be so good. Newer gaming laptops (especially high-end G-Sync gaming laptops) have IPS panels now. See http://www.g-sync.com for example.
