I was referring to game engine development work.And Microsoft just comes in and starts building off it. The same way Sony used BSD to make OS for PS4, damn BSD licensing.
Well known 3D engines already has DX12 version e.g. Epic's Unreal Engine 4.9, Crytek's CryEngine, Unity , Square Enix's Luminous Engine and 'etc'.
