MSI Readying a Liquid-cooled OC Series Graphics Card with Corsair Tech

MSI, which recently topped off its graphics card lineup with the air-cooled GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lightning, is preparing an addition to its coveted OC Series, with a new liquid-cooled graphics card it co-developed with Corsair. MSI teased this with an abstract image posted below on its Facebook page, with the tag "GraphicsCard," so we know it's not a motherboard. There's no other information in public about the product. We expect it to be an MSI-exclusive variation on Corsair's Hydro Series HG10 VGA bracket, which holds on to one of its Hydro Series AIO liquid cooling solution, but both MSI and Corsair are known to spring up surprises.

MSI, Corsair - does Corsair do their own AIO ?? I thought that Corsair used Asetek units......

Corsair appears to have designed its own VGA mounts for Asetek-made AIO blocks.

Well at least long enough before the GPU is obsolete and most likely replaced I would assume. Most AIO's in this day and age can last around 5+ years with normal usage so I would assume the same.

Chances are the water block will only touch the gpu and VRM and Mem will be air cooled.

the current hg10 only cools the core with the block and then the core temp ramps the stock fan up to cool ram and vrm but as the core is water cooled it never spins up much.

this is the reason i went with the kracken g10 as the fan part of the cooling can be powered by anything you want.
