Philips launched the Brilliance 258B6QJEB monitor. This 25-incher embeds an AH-IPS panel, offering WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) native resolution, 178°/178° viewing angles, 5 ms response time, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness, and dynamic mega-contrast ratio. Among its inputs are dual-link DVI, HDMI, D-Sub, and DisplayPort. The illumination is care of W-LED, with a non-PWM method of brightness adjustment (no micro-flicker). Its metal stand allows height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments. Other features include a 4-port USB hub (two each of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports). Expect this monitor to be priced around the $350 mark.

Well, it's a nice form factor, I have a Dell U2515H which is a great screen and seemingly a lot cheaper than this new Philips, at least outside the US.

Phillips offerings got constantly worse over past 10-15 years. Gone are the days of superb 4:3 Class I panels of yesterday (which I still have 2 in perfect working order).

350 cd maximum brightness is too high. I don't get it why manufacturers still persist with this rubbish. 300 is just fine. And glossy screen is no go for me in every imaginable LCD out there.
