Western Digital Buying SanDisk in $19 Billion Deal

If you want to load OS files and programs quickly then SSHD with 16GB or 32GB would be perfect, that is why 128 GB SSDs are used today, for OS and programs. But it is hard to get SSHD with 16/32GB of SSD cache.

If you ask me all HDDs up to at least 1TB should have 32GB of SSD cache and that would remove the need for most people to have SSDs. But I do not want to pay extra for SSD cache.

Who's installing the games on C:\ partition?? That should be reserved exclusively for OS, and OS related apps. Common!
Who cares? Seriously.. We're talking about SSD's, not HDD's.
It doesn't matter what so ever.

I have a 64GB drive for OS and is only half full...
I like games that load quickly and you can tell a huge difference which games are installed on my RAID-5 and those installed on the RAID-0. Farcry 4 eats up 31.7GB and TW3 eats up 36GB. While I do like having mass storage, I like it for things like video, music, and documents. Not data that I would like to load quickly like games. I bought two 120s over 3 years ago because I thought it would be enough. Now I'm really wanting a 512GB SSD.

Except now that WD has bought more SSD resources, I think it's a legitimate point to make. Another legitimate point is how you can get 512GB for under 200 USD now.

Yeah. I mean, I have a 64GB SSD for OS only, another 512GB SSD for mostly games, and a 2TB HDD for keeping all other stuff, like music, movies, pics, backups, etc

That 64GB must be incredibly full. Even without my games, I'm using half-ish of my RAID. Granted there are some applications that demand to be installed alongside Windows.
