CPU whiz Jim Keller, who has been behind some of the biggest CPU core design projects with AMD and Apple, reportedly joined Samsung Electronics, after a brief second stint at AMD, in which he led the team designing the company's "Zen" CPU core micro-architecture. Samsung, makers of the Exynos family of ARM SoCs, which drive the company's own brand smartphones and tablets; could use Keller's talents in designing newer, bigger chips, or perhaps even smaller, low-power chips, as the company gears up for the wast and uncharted IoT industry.
