NVIDIA Releases GeForce 359.06 WHQL Game Ready Drivers

NVIDIA today released its latest GeForce "Game Ready" drivers, which usually precede major game title launches. The new version 359.06 WHQL driver adds optimizations for the week's two big releases - Just Cause 3, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. These include SLI profiles on games that support it, and GeForce Experience optimal settings. The rest of its feature-set is consistent with Release 359 series drivers.

It is news to me too. Just seen this thread today. Didn't spent much time to be honest with it, but it does look like newer drivers from Nvidia have something to do with it

The screens aren't killed - the display firmware is corrupted, and can/is being reflashed. The common denominator seems to be EVGA's PrecisionX, although with the machines running fine until Win10 is installed, I daresay that Microsoft should be under scrutiny and whatever process gives a driver WHQL status. Win10 hardware ID corruption issues seem quite widespread.

A couple of things.
Screens aren't killed but people with no technical expertise will have to take them to a technician or return them to the shop. Best case scenario they will be charged for the work from the technician, or the warranty will cover them. Worst case scenario someone will charge them the whole screen taking advantage of the whole story, telling them that he had to replace the screen.
Drivers older than 353.62 seems to don't do any mess(based on the first post in that thread). So Nvidia drivers are not completely innocent.
The WHQL status was considered as the holly grail 6 months ago after all this fuss about AMD not releasing enough WHQL drivers. Now that we are talking about Nvidia we blame Microsoft?

I will just mention it again the next time someone blames AMD for fixing a problem in 24 hours or less, or start an editorial about how AMD failed because.... well, we have to make people believe that they fail often, don't we?

Tested again and file is corrupted, I guess.

Downloaded from Nvidia and it works. The files must be corrupted on TPU.

You didn't get a beta did you? I ask, because I've not had any trouble with them because I only download the WHQL drivers. W10 seems to be set up to prefer WHQL.

These are working well for the majority of games on my system and (this may be placebo) I swear that image quality is up a notch? I love this 970 but I definitely want to stretch it's wings and upgrade to a 1440P, IPS, Gsync monitor in the new year.

Great thing about G-Sync is that it largely takes away the need for SLI when playing games, unless you have a hard time keeping framerates above 30fps.

I don't run Fallout 4 in SLI anymore because I get a lot of stutter when playing with SLI and G-Sync on, but with the game in single card mode, it runs great and is perfectly smooth.

CoD and BF4 run well in SLI with G-Sync however, they look amazing and play amazing.

New Nvidia drivers have been released for anyone who is interested. G-sync Monitor is definitely a purchase for myself in the new year.
