The Award Winning EVGA HYBRID line is now available on GeForce GTX 970. The EVGA GeForce GTX 970 HYBRID GAMING is an "all in one" water cooling solution that significantly lowers the GPU operating temperature. Best of all? The water cooler is completely self-contained, with an included 120mm radiator and fan. No filling, no custom tubing, no maintenance. Just plug in and play!

Of course, the GeForce GTX 970 HYBRID GAMING is also powered by the next-generation NVIDIA Maxwell architecture, giving you incredible performance, unmatched power efficiency, and cutting-edge features. Maxwell is the most advanced GPU architecture ever made, designed to be the engine of next-generation gaming. Inspired by light, it was designed to solve some of the most complex lighting and graphics challenges in visual computing.

Key Features:
  • Built on Maxwell - The EVGA GeForce GTX 970 HYBRID features the most advanced GPU architecture ever made, designed to be the engine of next-generation gaming.
  • Hydro Performance without the Hassle - All in one cooling solution that is completely self-contained. No filling, no custom tubing, no maintenance. Just plug and play.
  • Sleek Looks - Intelligent wiring system and sleeved tubing make this one sleek cooler without the messy wires.
  • Copper Base - Designed for the GTX 970 and provides maximum heat transfer.
  • Virtually Silent Operation - Variable controlled fans allow dynamic fan speed based on GPU temperature, and the water cooling efficiency means very low noise fans.
  • Built in Radiator and Fan - Helps dissipate the heat by keeping the GPU as cool as possible. Fan can also be swapped or customized.
  • Cooling for VRM and Memory - VRM and Memory cooling solution separated from GPU, allowing for lowest GPU temperatures, and efficient VRM and Memory cooling.

"next-generation NVIDIA Maxwell"... it's already been out for almost 2 years and is about to become previous-gen. So when exactly does something become current-gen, nVidia?

it is not the new upgraded pcb..............what a pity

why almost all the aio water cooling card are using ref. pcb or even cheaper one
giga extreme seems to be the best with insane pcb.

Curious to know how this holds up against say the Gigabyte Gaming xtreme edition that is $20 less. The Water cooling side is an attractive offer though.

Not sure I see a point to this. I saw a review for it already and yes it stays cool but for the cost difference it does not add much to it since its just a basic short PCB GTX 970. Even if it was a better version you can still achieve the same overclocks with any of the other aftermarket coolers with it still being quiet and not costing near this much (I believe the review stated its cost was $399).

Eh, though I guess its still a good product. It just feels unnecessary for this chip.

Rather silly feature on a card that's already cool as it is and thus quiet.
This. They didn't like it when I said just this on their FB post either.

It's rated 145W, total waste. Like dual-fans on 960 cards. Money grab.

the pcb and bios and heatsink cooler of gigia extreme 970 are almost the best among other 970s.
dont be fooled by the aio water cooling, most of them are using ref pcb only. the bios of them is also not for overclocking.
and never forget about the temp of vrm and vram, both are important in running stable gpu clock speed and overclocking and the lifetime of the card.

My 970 overclocked to the balls barely gets to 65c lol....

Its cool looking... but IDK. To late in the game, and theres already like 100 other 970s to choose from.

When new GPU's were rolling out from AMD/Nvidia every 9 months, the engineers at these companies had something to do to keep busy. The GM204 was introduced in September of last year, so those guys had to find something to do.
While it is crazy to put a liquid cooler on a 150 watt GPU, I can see a benefit to using one of these in the top slot in SLI.

Why would they do this and not make the card shorter? Seems like they missed a big opertunity there...

The PCB is already short, just the reference style blower hangs over. If somebody wanted to they could take that off and put some heatsinks on the card to keep it small.

I really find it pointless to make a hybrid 970. It's a cool idea to expand on their hybrid line, but the 970 is already cool and quiet enough.

Agreed brother.

you have already pascal in production and still stuckking on 970 versions. also these maxwell are really cooled and lower powered. after 780(Ti) build of hybrid and classified pointless

That's my point, eVGA should have done this themselves to make the card more appealing.

The alternative I think would have been awesome is if they made this a single slot card. Put one of the old school single slot 9800GT coolers on the card to move air over the VRM and memory, with a cut out in the middle of the shroud to allow the pump/block to just poke through.

Unfortunately the tubes and pump make it dual slot anyways.
