Not again. Biostar is announcing this card every 3 months and they always show this card as a new card that can be used together with their latest motherboard.

btarunr, just check older Biostar's PRs about this 750Ti and older Biostar's PRs about motherboard+gpu combos.

This is an old card.

That is super-late. I own an MSI 750Ti Gaming and this year I already feel that I am pushing its limits. Not sure if Pascal will bring some lower-end cards on the market, but at this moment you should only invest in this card if you are on a super-tight budget, or need a low-power solution.

GTX950 costs only $40 more, but gives on average +40% performance boost in 1080p. It also supports 2-way SLI, which makes it far more superior comparing to 750Ti, no matter how far you push GPU clocks.

I purchased my card at the beginning of this year for ~$80 used, and already gave it its run for the money. It might be OK for another year or so, but I think I will upgrade much sooner: almost all titles I've purchased on Steam in 2015 only run at medium/low settings in order to provide playable 50+FPS ().

Don't get me wrong, 750Ti is an excellent card, but for a new PC or a GPU upgrade it is not good or cost-effective.

LMAO looking at the posts above. You guys have never heard of the "new" 750Ti do you? All those recently manufactured 750 Tis had been upgraded with a cutdown GM206 from a GM107. Yes its 640 cores is still weaker than a 950's 768 cores and 960's 1024 cores but still it's more powerful than the old 750 Ti while still retaining the same power envelope and also same price of course. Undeniably it's a shitty card for people with a shitty psu, but at least this company Biostar is not trolling around with an almost two years old card.

LMAO at yourself and your arrogance. Not only VR75T5XUX1 is an old model, but also it is not a 750 but a 750Ti if you haven't noticed. Only 750s with 512 CUDA cores have an updated version with Maxwell 2 architecture. 750Ti doesn't have a new version with a GM206 GPU.

Biostar IS trolling and probably you too. Just two examples

So far it was only confirmed for GTX 750, not the Ti.

Of course you're right. Biostar must have made a mistake putting the spec and name of 750 Ti on the product page linked in the article. And they must be trolling around for putting the SLI logo on that product page too. You're absolutely right.

I have noticed that sometimes local offices sends PR's after introducing product it new market. For example first PR appears in product debut day, the second one outs when product reaches European branch.

I hope that it happens. I would like to see Biostar graphics cards in Europe because now only motherboards are available here

Yah I did a search on this last night when the article was posted. The card was announced almost a year ago in other markets. This is just a regional introduction. It's not a new sku.

IMO the price/performance ratio isn't just anymore what it used to be when talking about 750Ti..

It is not even a regional introduction, just a marketing push for Z170Z5 combo from last month. The only thing that bothers me is that the entire Maxwell lineup was announced a year ago, yet I am still unable to find a single place where I could buy any.

For the sake of satisfying my own curiosity I decided to check the "source".
http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/news/news.php?S_ID=233
... in regards of GM206 debate:
The BIOSTAR GeForce GTX750Ti:
In BIOSTAR's GeForce GTX 750 Ti using NVIDIA's first-generation "Maxwell" architecture, there are a number of architectural enhancements designed to extract even more performance per watt consumed. In fact, there is 35% more performance per CUDA Core on shader-limited workloads delivered.
