The new ROCCAT Ryos MK FX represents the chance to opt for both style and performance when you search for the perfect weapon for your gaming arsenal. Purpose built for hardcore gamers, the Ryos MK FX is the most advanced mechanical gaming keyboard on the market. Using all of ROCCAT's industry expertise and gaming experience, the Ryos MK FX boasts an amazing feature set, headed up by its impressive 16.8 million color per-key RGB illumination. It also features precise Cherry MX switches, two ARM processors and ROCCAT's intuitive Swarm driver software for easy yet, deeply customizable illumination options.

The Ryos MK FX offers fully configurable, ROCCAT-enginereed Per-Key RGB illumination in two convenient modes: preset and custom. This means you can add awesome special effects in 16.8 million colors to your keystrokes, configure your keyboard to highlight your in-game and application key bindings, your modifier keys, your system controls as well as your macro sequences and cool-downs plus much, much more.

These seemingly complex configurations are programmable in seconds with ROCCAT Swarm, the software incarnation of ROCCAT's future ready philosophy. It makes deep customization easy, with an intuitive user interface purpose designed for gamers. Together with state of the art ROCCAT hardware like the Ryos MK FX, it unveils a universe of options to customize your gaming setup to an unprecedented level. Bringing gamers closer than ever before to the in-game action, the Ryos MK FX also supports AlienFX, for exciting lighting effects tied to your favorite games.

Owing to its whopping two 32-bit ARM Cortex processors, the Ryos MK FX comes out swinging. Since the MCU is so powerful, not one of the keyboard's advanced features sacrifices an ounce of performance. And with 2MB of flash memory to store your configurations, your keyboard will execute all of your keystrokes and macros in real time, without any delay.

ROCCAT's breakthrough Easy-Shift[+] technology means each button has more winning-edge value with a secondary programmable function, for a wide array of battle possibilities. Intuitive and easy to program, with options for simple commands or complex macros, Easy-Shift[+] expands your arsenal, letting you react both rapidly and efficiently in the heat of the battle.

The Ryos MK FX comes locked and loaded with the highest quality mechanical key switches, meaning you're playing with the best the industry has to offer. With durable CHERRY MX key switches that last up to an incredible 50 million keystrokes and laser-etched, UV-coated keycaps, wear and tear will be the least of your concerns.

Launching today, the ROCCAT Ryos MK FX is now available for $169.99 USD. For more information, visit the product page.

Those "T" buttons under the space bar.. Are they oddly placed or what are they exactly? Profile change? Macro buttons?

I used those keys on some ROCCAT and Tesoro solutions, and i found them quite useful to be pressed with my thumb.

you can use them as profile changer or macro buttons. Roccat's driver is quite flexible in those terms.

Great keyboard but 170$ is a little much RGB keyboards should by now come to a logical price around 100 - 120$.

Now if only they would finally update the MK Pro with Swarm with better options, they keep on saying how much shit these 2 32bit chips can do but they such at getting more options available.

can we have some real damn competition instead of every company releasing their version of the 100+ dollar keyboards?

Why is Roccat not selling this for like 80 or so? can guarantee it would be bought in masses.

It's a pretty solid keyboard to start with, really nice to type or game on with solid keys that don't go all crappy like some other brands and on top of that it has the fake switches under keys like the space bar shift keys not those crappy bars held on with little plastic crap clips.

Nice but does anything justify the price?

That would depend on the user now would it not ?, to me yes partly due to what you quoted. I am just pissed they taken so long to update the software for the MK PRO.

meh... i use only SWARM ... i used the one for the Ryos only to do the initial configuration of the T keys ... then i never changed them (easy shift[+] profile include )

Well one of the main reasons i got the Ryos was due to being programmable so when i came across one of those games that configure right which is pretty much every Bethesda game ( not sure about OB ).

And the other was to be able to set a key to flash x amount of times but that cannot be done unless you press 2 keys. Support told me near 15 or so months ago they were getting Swarm support for the keyboard which still today has not happened.

Not sure if it can be done with a single key with SWARM but shit they should of got this sorted out already as the last driver was some 16 ish month ago.

As for easy shift never use it turn it off as again they never got their heads out of the box they seem to be in, seems like they stopped thinking what else could we do.

MK FX don't seem to much different from the MK Pro the shell is a little different and it's RGB, just hope now they added that to swarm that MK Pro will finally get a new update finally and not buying another product of theirs until this time as it as promised in emails with them.

Bought an MK Pro a few days ago and did not like it both because the blue LED light hurts my eyes and i bought it with black switches by mistake.

Going to send it back ask for a refund and pick up an MK FX next months.
Going back to my old Isku FX while i wait.

Well you just turn down the brightness, don't know about blacks but i know i will not buy Cherry blues ever again.

But yeah if i was you take it back and hopefully you be able too as they do not update the older software any more even if it needs it.

Even with the LED lights as low as they could go they would still bother my eyes even when not looking at the keyboard.
I have very very low light sensitivity which means red is one of the only colors that does not bother me.

I love my old Isku FX just because i can pick red as a color option on my keys.
It should be noted that my job requires me to work at night which is one of the reasons for my low light sensitivity.

As for the cherry mx switches i bought a switch sample from maxkeyboard.com that i am going to try out.

Well they are not bright what so ever, sounds more like you have a issue with the color than any thing, lowest setting is very dull.

As for rings Rosewill do clear type although kinda expensive, there is all so pads too you can get they are like little sponges.

I believe i said that in my last post but yes blue lights hurts my eyes even at very low light settings which made the MK Pro useless for my as my eyes would hurt with the light on.

If i turned the lights off i would have problems seeing the keys as i am used to them being back lighted.

I am going to wait for my cherry MX switches sample to show up and then spend a few hours typing on them before i make my decision.
At this point its either red or brown as the black ones felt too heavy.

But unless i can find something better i am going with the new Roccat Ryos MK FX.
