Still hard at work trolling with information that was out of date when you first began posting it. What's the matter? You didn't get banned from WTFtech did you, and require a little buzz from posting the same tired jpegs?

Facts don't matter to trolls. He's also managed to bring Nvidia into the AMD press story from yesterday with another utterly irrelevant troll post. I actually clicked the link he posted thinking it would actually be informative but it's that tired toothless old man gag.

Seriously, I almost feel like walking away from TPU because the mods don't seem to give a shit about posters that bring the site right down with nothing but playground idiocy. Way to go mods.

It's different when people post technical or useful counter points but his posts are just purile crap. He's got a mirror in the green camp that called me an AMD fanboy the other day. T'was amusing.

I am very disappointed that Nvidia is leaving Fermi out even thought it can be done 99% anything that Kepler can do Fermi can do it except 4096x2160 & G-sync but its the 700 series that's going to keep Kepler with longer support thus 600 series owners will be benefited from this.
Also NVidia we are still waiting for Fermi DX12 APi I know all will say why still on Fermi why upgrade if DX11 was still the latest and I can still run any game smooth. also I keep my pc and build new ones when I upgrade.
soon New with Nvidia pascal and intel Bardwell-E

NVIDIA beat AMD to being the first with a WHQL-signed graphics driver Vulkan API support. The new GeForce 364.47 WHQL drivers include support for the new low-overhead API that gives game developers greater access to hardware features, and saps lower CPU overhead. The drivers are also game-ready for "Tom Clancy's The Division," the 2016 reboots of "Hitman," and "Need for Speed," and "Ashes of the Singularity." Grab the drivers from the links below.

Hehe :) No, I mean install latest drivers asap anyway. Knowing there is a new driver and I don't have it installed is triggering my OCD. I just can't resist it.

There is no technical issue to provide vulkan api to fermi. How about the DX 12 driver? Nvidia refuse to give any info about the current support stage.

Nvidia are recommending against 'express' installation while they check out the issue. They're suggesting the 'custom' and 'clean' install.
I'm always really lazy and do express so I may miss these until it's fixed. Or I'll clean install, seeing as that's how most drivers are meant to be installed. Let's face it, Nvidia made driver installs quite easy. This is more like old school, uninstall old and install new as fresh.

Played some Killing Floor 2 on my system with these drivers. No issues. I guess I'm lucky. Except with AMD APU's. With those, I have zero luck.

I updated last night. Windows 10, multiple monitors.

I used DDU first to clean out the drivers. By the way, the nvidia "clean installation" doesn't do anything but remove customizations you've made to the driver settings, it does nothing to alleviate the issue. You should do a full wipe every now and then anyway to ensure no issues in the future.

Problematic 364.47 is gone, and has been replaced by 364.51 -- which wccftech says reddit says still has some problems.

Installed it & stress tested it. Of course, all the garbage (HDMI Audio, Miracast, GFE etc) has been ruled out, leaving ONLY the display driver, control panel & PhysX untouched. Never had issues so far yet. Gonna experiment on mixed monitors & see if it crashes or not. Always choose "Custom" as it's the low-risk path than "Express". For GFE, never use the ones that's shipped with the installer as the standalone one is more stable (apparently)

Why do people use Express Install? Seriously, why? That was created for noobs who have no idea how to use a PC.

You are just asking for trouble. I have been doing a proper installation for years now, And by proper I mean:
1) boot into safe mode
2) clean with Display Driver Uninstaller
3) reboot into normal mode and install drivers.

Never had any problems. It takes less than 5 minutes to set all the settings and import your Inspector profiles.

Thanks for your kindness to let us noobs know how to install a driver. It was enlightening.
I wonder what you say if the driver you are installing one day messes big time with your computer no matter how savvy you are in installing drivers, just because the driver developer messed up that particular release?!

I have a feeling that you might answer a driver release can never be faulty at all. Its always the people that installs them who are to blame if something goes wrong, right? :shadedshu:

There is a better way to explain it, but, he's right. ;)

One shouldn't install all the extras if they are not needed.

No he does not.

Maybe that was a solution to this particular release and would've helped all the people who experienced Nvidias glory in driver programming this time, but that is simply not an answer to all the things that can go wrong.

Oh, and you're damn right, there is a better way to say it!

But the driver is not broken (yes, it could be), installing it on top of an old driver causes problems, as it often happens.

There is absolutely no benefit to not doing a clean install, all you do is save 5 minutes.

Nvidia and many other companies don't think its needed or they would advise to do so. Its a precautionary measure but it shouldn't be necessary. They also provide a clean install check box option within the installer. As an example noted in the release notes, one of the issues for GFE driver package is not having an active internet connection and that certainly wont help even when a DDU clean install is done.
