Cooler Master Announces the MasterKeys Pro Series Keyboards

Cooler Master, a leader in design and manufacturing computer components and peripherals, today launched a selection of keyboards for gamers to choose from. Minimalistic design meets brilliant illumination in Cooler Master's first RGB mechanical keyboard series with Cherry MX switches. The MasterKeys Pro L is the full-size version, and those seeking a compact version can go with the MasterKeys Pro S, a tenkeyless design.

"The MasterKeys Pro offers multiple lighting modes. Presets include Color Wave, Breathing, and other responsive effects. You can choose between red, brown, or blue switches to match your tactile preference," said Kevin Yang, Peripherals Product Manager. "And you get all the features, whether you prefer a full size keyboard or a tenkeyless design. In addition to easy-to-use software, we are working on a Software Development Kit (SDK) to truly help Make It Yours."

It's the know-how it seems to me. They are working a software to make it really customizable and you have to pay those programmers you know

Well sure sure but you can argue there, make it 100 dollars instead of 160 and more people will (be able to) buy it.

They have other keyboards that use the same exact build but without the RGB and those are around 100$ or less if I remember correctly

Well they need to get a better micro controller and 3x as many LEDs into the keyboard. Also software to fully utilize RGB keyboards is hard to do well. So I can see why it's so expensive.

Most RGB keyboards are priced around the same price when they are first introduced.
I actually like the minimalist design of this KB but the lack of wrist rest is a deal breaker to me.

Very nice. After a couple years on a somewhat large Logitech G110 I'd like to go with a tenkeyless next. With a macro system built-in I might not even bother with an separate numpad.

I don't like these keyboards. Not look of keyboards, I don't 100 functions of changing LED colors.
I don't know what people see interesting so much in colorful LED lights if visibility in dark is not priority, only changing colors.
But CM have other good option. I looked before 2 months their keyboards and looks like NovaTouch TKL with replaced Double Shoot PBT keys compatible with Cherry MX Switches could be something nice for gamers. But I was not convinced in durability of new redesigned Topre keys. She produce little weird funny sound but could be silent with their fabric O-rings... Only she don't have LED, white would be perfect, but best without light than RGB.
If bunch of people could type on stealth keyboards without LEDs and fonts and I could.
