D-Link today announced the immediate availability of the first router in its EXO Series, the AC1900 EXO Wi-Fi Router (DIR-879). The AC1900 EXO Wi-Fi Router boasts a stylish form-factor, standout color and impressive feature set. With built-in high power amplifiers and 11AC Dual Band Wi-Fi, the DIR-879 delivers fast wireless speeds, improved coverage, and reliable Wi-Fi connectivity to support HD streaming and other demanding applications, all for under $150.

"With the new AC1900 EXO Wi-Fi Router, users can enjoy the extremely fast speeds of 11AC Wi-Fi and proudly display their network hardware," said Steven Olen, director of product marketing at D-Link. Smart Connect technology automatically assigns wireless clients to the specific wireless band that provides the optimum bandwidth. In addition, the router features four Gigabit LAN Ethernet ports with WPA or WPA2 security and Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to ensure network integrity and ease-of-setup while still guaranteeing high-speed wired connectivity.

Why are they always pictured with the aerials up, and not down like legs?
At least they would get better air flow around them that way.
 
I always loved the very low resolution textures on the SG replicators. Just look at those "circles" like components. 1996 is calling! :)))))
 
I actually like the design. I approve of many quirky design ideas. Hopefully its wifi is better than on my 2890al!
