EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is launching EK-D5 PWM G2 Motor, new and enhanced variant of the world renown Xylem D5 water pump. Along with this release, we are bringing you the EK-XTOP Revo Dual D5 pump top which is now available for purchase as a separate unit.

EK-D5 PWM G2 is an enhanced variant of the world renown Xylem D5 PWM pump which features an improved PWM control driver. As a result the PWM ramp-up control, duty-cycle operation and feedback are now identical to that of the DDC type pump. The biggest advantage of the G2 model over the previous (Laing D5) generation is the operational regime, where the pump will run at 100% when no PWM feedback signal is present. New EK-D5 PWM G2 Motor has also a slightly different PWM response curve - see the graph below.

New EK-XTOP Revo Dual D5 PWM Serial
Following the very popular release of the EK-XTOP Revo Dual D5 PWM Serial with two included pumps, and by a very high demand, we are releasing EK-XTOP Revo Dual D5 PWM Serial pump top body - without the pumps!

EK-XTOP Revo Dual D5 PWM Serial is a fourth generation high-performance aftermarket DUAL pump top (volute) for D5 type water pumps.

The main body (top) is nested between two special rubber shock absorbers that were previously designed from the ground up and are one of the main features of the Revo series of products. This system features a fully rounded design, thus offering greater usability, allowing installation at any angle within 360° of rotation. Furthermore, these rubber shock absorbers are used to de-couple the main pump body from the mounting clip for silent operation, free of vibration induced noise.

New and redesigned rubber shock absorbers with enhanced vibration reducing pattern are included! The top is made of quality POM Acetal material, while the tightening nuts are made from CNC machined aluminum. Mounting clamps are made from injection molded ABS. Mounting mechanism with two mounting plates for installing the unit on a 120mm or 140mm fan and easy-to-follow installation guide are enclosed.

MSRP:
  • EK-D5 PWM G2 Motor: 70.69€
  • EK-XTOP Revo Dual D5 PWM Serial: 86.95€

Do any Tpu users have experience with these EK D5 Shock Absorber mount thingies? i really like the look of them and either the Revo top or Res top, but was wondering if further decoupling is needed or not.

Also im really not sold on these PWM D5's, i really dont notice the sound of mine over case and rad fans, but would be far more likely to if the thing was throttling up and down all the time

Oh for crying out loud EK.

When I inquired ~4 weeks ago if I can purchase dual D5 top alone or with Vario D5s you said not and not possible. And now less than 4 weeks later you offer dual D5 top alone for sale. Make up your mind, grr... Still on functionality ground old Dual D5 top CSQ was superb.

As for Pump mounting for X-TOP Revo. It's quite nice. As long you won't setup pump at 4-5 then vibrations are reduced to minimum. Mounting mechanism is flexible enough (if you use longer screws) to put some silicon or rubber spacer underneath.

Biggest problem of X-Top Revo by miles is lack of multiport. If you put it horizontally then draining pump completely is impossible without T splitter in front of inlet. Also positioning outlet at 90 or 270 degrees (with horizontal mounting) makes X-Top Revo completely useless (there is no pressure at all to move fluid). Only upward outlet works properly. When mounted in vertical mode, with res on top , these problems are non-existent, but why offer horizontal option if full functionality is impaired.
