Got another question for you Gigabyte-Gaming and that is are you going to have your own SLI bridges.
MSI EVGA Asus and others have their own bridges and MSI has just shown off their new HB bridge.

I really like the Gigabyte Gaming logo and would love to have that on a bridge instead of a boring plain bridge with nothing on it.

Also do you know who is the OEM on that new PSU you have also shown?

Since a few hours when I was told our engineer sample made it online... and now I'm stuck replying messages after midnight from Taiwan
But it's cool to engage with the community so it's worth it

Now I need to contemplate on if I want two of them to replace my SLI 780's. The Maximus Hero VII, I believe, has three slots in between so I should be able to squeeze them in. I need to check it to make sure.

Totally offtopic sorry but this is the chance i've been waiting! human contact! Do you know if giga is planning on adding official support for tb3 in ga-z170n gaming 5 itx mobo, as it has alpine ridge onboard? Would make it the perfect itx board for this chipset generation

This is an early engineering sample, if you look closely there's a white bracket connected to the PCB. It's our flagship card, of course the mass production card has a backplate, you'll see more pictures tomorrow.

I know how you feel. Gigabyte support is awful - just setting up an account is a massive undertaking and you get one of those (conveniently) broken website login systems that goes around and around in circles saying your authenticated when you're not - you can't get in to log a ticket, and when you do, you then can't get in to view the ticket.

I really enjoy Gigabyte products, though if they don't make a Waterforce version of this card (or the TI), I won't be going back to them, as they have nothing to offer otherwise.

The width might actually be an issue for me, my PC is built in Bitfenix pandora and it has pretty limited width. If this is any wider that 980ti xtreme then 1080 xtreme is a no-go for me.

Yes, the 980TI Waterforce worked fairly well.

Gigabyte-Gaming rep - I'd be happy if you reported this to the designers for the new Waterforce product(s):

• Reverse the fan/radiator mounting order(or make the inlet/out for the tubes horizontal) 980TI Waterforce had the radiator inlet/outlet tubes built vertically. It could only be mounted one way. Therefore the default fan orientation was backwards.
  What this means is that you were expected to mount the radiator to the case. The fan would draw air from within the case (warmer air) and push it into the radiator. I was able to reverse this by separating the fan and radiator, then turning the fan to the other side and then mounting the radiator to fan to the case, pulling air from the outside. In order to achieve this though, I had to take apart the card's cover, and wiggle loose the fan cable as it was too short.

• Make the fan a standard three pin or if nothing else a standard two pin, so they can be replaced if they fail or are simply not up to customer's requirements. The idea of having to ship back a £650 GPU because the fan failed (and is bespoke, soldered) is ridiculous and any accidents in shipping, repairs or returns is entirely unnecessary.
• Make the fan cable longer
• Find 15% more cooling performance, and with reduced noise output. Even at 50% fan, 120mm gets noisy. 140mm should fix it.

Ever considered partnering up with a liquid cooling block manufacturer like EK? You could bundle their blocks with your cards.

Pretty sure the standard is to push air from the case to the outside.
Reversing this would be blowing the warmed air from the radiator in to the case.
