Available initially in capacities of 240 GB, 480 GB and 960 GB, Neutron Series XTi will also become CORSAIR's first 1920 GB SSD in the near future, combining SSD performance with HDD capacity. With top-tier performance, reliability and consistency, the CORSAIR Neutron Series XTi meets the high-performance storage needs of the most discerning PC gaming enthusiasts and content creation professionals alike.

The Neutron Series XTi utilizes a dedicated quad-core controller for top tier top tier speeds with sustained performance and low command latency. The result is exceptional transfer speeds of up to 560 MB/sec, 540 MB/s sequential write, 4KB random read of up to 100,000 IOPS and 4K random write of up to 90,000 IOPS; up to the tasks of today's most demanding end-users.

Designed for consistent performance the Neutron Series XTi handles very high sustained transfer rates with ease, enabled by an expanded cache making it possible to capture and edit professional Full HD and 4K uncompressed video in real-time, as well as play PC games with absolute maximum detail levels.

The Neutron Series XTi is also equipped with end-to-end data path protection, ensuring data is protected against corruption from the host to the NAND gate. Combined with power loss protection with advanced SmartFlush and GuaranteedFlush technologies as well as a host of error correction technologies, the Neutron Series XTi secures your drive for an ultra-consistent and reliable experience.

Specifications:
  • High Performance Quad-Core SSD Controller: Quad-core processor for top tier performance with low command latency and sustained performance.
  • Exceptional transfer speeds: The Neutron Series XTieffectively saturates the SATA 6Gbp/s interface, providing sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s, sequential write speeds of up to 540 MB/s, 4KB random reads of up to 100K IOPS and 4K random writes of up to 90K IOPS.
  • Consistent Performance: Very high sustained transfer rates are enabled by an expanded cache make it possible to capture and edit professional Full HD and 4K uncompressed video in real-time, as well as play PC games with absolute maximum detail levels.
  • End-to-End Data Path Protection (ETEP): ETEP protects the entire data path within the SSD controller. From the host to the NAND gate, ensuring data is protected against corruption.
  • Low Power Consumption: 95% less power consumption than standard HDDs means better energy efficiency for your desktop machine and longer battery life for your laptop. Also includes support for DEVSLP (device sleep).
  • Power Loss Protection: Data is further protected with advanced SmartFlush and GuaranteedFlush technologies.
  • Enhanced Error Correction: SmartECC and SmartRefresh features improve data retention and error correction.
  • Static and Dynamic Wear-Leveling: The lifespan of the drive and its overall reliability are greatly enhanced by wear-leveling.
  • Advanced Garbage Collection: Overall performance and NAND endurance are enhanced.
  • Compatible with CORSAIR SSD Toolbox: Access a number of crucial software tools for getting the most out of your SSD

Finally someone is creeping up to 2TB...

Let's wait and see how much it'll cost though. Doubling the price for 960GB drive takes us to $660 which is a lot of money to spend on a drive...

So is over 850€ for a Samsung 850 Pro 2TB... But with Corsair and one another, there will be 3 whole SSD drives with capacity of 2TB...

Man, dem prices.

What makes these worth the price premium? A decent 1TB drive can be had for $215-240 today. Why is this one $330?

Looks like it

Man, dem prices.

Because it's Corsair?
Note that this is an MLC and not a TLC drive, which means it won't be a budget drive.

Then again, the Neutron XT 960GB has a MSRP of $530 and retails for $420 or less, so there's clearly a huge difference between MSRP and actual retail price. Let's hope it's the same for these.

All these buzzwords for SATA SSDs. Blistering quick controller? We've been capped on this bus for half a decade now. Just bring the prices down for high capacity drives. That's all anybody cares about now. With games creeping easily over 50GB a pop I filled 1TB of SSD storage space quick but I'll be damned if I pay 300 bucks for a 2TB SSD when I can get a 6TB HDD for that much to put in my server.

Is there a standard for certification for use in a server, or is that marketing hype by others?
