AMD Launches Radeon.com

With its Radeon RX 480 launch, AMD launched the new Radeon.com website, as a centralized source of product information, updates, and software downloads. The site also features articles related to AMD gaming hardware, and is the second such website by the company after game.amd.com. It appears to feature a similar design scheme to the new Radeon Settings app that ships with Radeon Software Crimson Edition.

That doesn't change the fact the name they chose is stupid. Old "Catalyst" ignites the reaction between a graphic card and a game aka A DRIVER. It not only sounded cool, it actually meant something. Crimson just means nothing at all (apart from describing a color which isn't even from AMD's or Radeon's color scheme). Plus all the other unnecessary meaningless words around it.

Radeon Settings is the name, Crimson is just an edition, i know doesn't make much sense to me. I don't think crimson replace catalyst. If you right click on desktop to open the control center it says AMD Radeon Settings where it use to say AMD Catalyst.

I agree, even if it was called "Radeon software", I mean sure, its understandable for everyone but its very boring.
Catalyst was a better name (and imo a far superior UI at this point).

I am pretty sure the only reason they changed it is because of people view on the companies drivers. Look how many people still claim the drivers are bad, they had to launch a new name to try and show its a new eco-system. Kinda like how some car names disappear from manufacturers because of bad reputations in to a new car regardless of if this car is the same general size and spot in the category.

Then what are they doing here if they cannot read the forum never mind installing some thing that you cannot read .

Anyways picture books are good i only said the cover and tbh the newer version is better regardless of the name not if i had issue's with the old.

nVidia still doesn't even NAME their drivers, just a WHQL cert then a number. At least RTG tried.

You not updated drivers in a while,its been called crimson edition a while now, it's not that bad.

I don't know, price per performance AMD has been doing quite well on. Even the RX480 has a good price/performance ratio.

RX 480 still looks a good buy to me though.
