NVIDIA Releases the GeForce 372.54 WHQL Drivers

NVIDIA released the GeForce 372.54 WHQL drivers. These drivers are game-ready for "No Man's Sky," "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided," "F1: 2016," and "Obduction." It also comes with optimization for "Paragon" Beta. The drivers more importantly add support for the GeForce GTX 1080 Mobile, GTX 1070 Mobile, and the GTX 1060 Mobile, with a major update for BatteryBoost, a feature that stabilizes frame-rates to keep power-consumption low. Does anyone know if this driver fixed the DPC latency issue?

OMG they FINALLY after 6 months+ fixed the problem with permanent VSYNC on for GSYNC users... ( i mean in the nvidia control panel it was reseting to "on" after restarting the pc)

edit: they also added a "fast" mode VSync... whats that?

One would think "Adaptive V-Sync" was "fast" option already. I wonder what this is...

It's their new Vsync that allows you to have a high FPS and it still have no tearing on your monitor by, from what I know, getting rid of some frames. I have tried it and it's bad... real bad, for me anyway.

Ok i found results from smart people:

If you were at 300FPS on a 60Hz monitor, only 60 complete frames would be displayed - but all 300 were rendered. Fast Vsync will give you higher power consumption/noise/heat etc, but is a handy alternative for people who want or need the high frame rates (games that give a competitive advantage, etc)

I have it set in-game to 60Hz and it's as smooth as butter for me.

What monitor do you have?
Can't see it in your system specs....

Your system is unable to maintain stable 140fps in this game, that's why it stutters. No driver can fix that.

yes i have 60hz Monitors, i Play COD advance warfare/shadow of Mordor and many games, which i can play 140+ FPS without Stutter, if maintain to decrease the settings to low, FPS gets upto 400(especially in COD games) thats not causing any sttuter,
Dont know the Reason what causing problem in GTA V.

Re-read what i wrote, i perfectly explained what's causing stutter in GTA 5. VSYNC was made for a reason, not just to annoy gamers with input lag.

Just run your games at 60fps, works perfectly and thats what your monitor can handle.
Running your games at 60fps 1080p with your card, it will run cooler as well.

Since you already have high DPC with your current drivers, you've got nothing to lose.

Got to give NVIDIA credit for working on different V-Sync techniques. Before, I've never used V-Sync because it was just pointless because it gimped performance and mouse motion so much. Today, I can't imagine gaming without Adaptive V-Sync. I'll also try the Fast V-Sync, if it only syncs at frames that matter, that's actually pretty clever.

If AMD doesn't add some of these things, I think I'll be stuck with NVIDIA. Isn't it funny, of all the fancy stuff (gimmicks) NVIDIA is releasing, V-Sync controls are what keeps me with them XD

Yeah I'm a Day of Defeat Source nut and I've found Fast Sync is an ideal compromise between super high framerates whilst keeping tearing down to an absolute minimum, and of course no vsync induced input lag as a bonus.
