ASRock rolled out the H110M-DS/Hyper, an entry-level socket LGA1151 motherboard for gaming PC builds on a shoestring budget. The company is positioning this board as a gaming-grade product, with a cooled CPU VRM, and an all-solid-state capacitor design. The board is based on the Intel H110 Express chipset. It draws power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors, conditioning it for the CPU with a 4+1 phase VRM.

The CPU socket is wired to two DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting up to 32 GB of dual-channel DDR4-2133 MHz memory; and one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot. The only other expansion slot is a PCI-Express 2.0 x1, wired to the H110 PCH. Connectivity is basic, with four SATA 6 Gb/s ports, four USB 3.0 ports (two on the rear panel, two by headers), 6-channel HD audio, and gigabit Ethernet (Realtek RTL8111GR). The only display output is a dual-link DVI connector. The board is driven by UEFI BIOS. Expect a sub-$60 price.

Nice looking board. I remember how horrible cheap boards looked back around 2000. Also AsRock really stepped up the game with their boards in general, especially top end ones and from the looks of it, even low end ones.

This makes sense, concentrate on what's important: VRMs, capacitators, and a handful of connections/slots.
Why oh why aren't more mobos whit this philosophy? $100 would buy a high quality piece without all those options most of us never use.

Does it have external bclk generator ? Because all hyper boards are suppose to have that.
If it does, it would make a killer OC combo.

M.2 slot inexistent, no hardware raid, but oh boy can I tweek the butter out of the ram my h110m dgs could be close to z170 in ram timings options.
It is indeed stable and consumes just above a 100w light bulb in peak gaming, I'd think . less feature could yeld lower power consumption and with that heat signature. So yeah there goes out the window a 4-6 ssd's raid10 array down the line if I'd complayn about a feature sparce entry level new gen MB.

Ouch :(
I've been waiting for it to buy an i5-6400 and mildly overclock it to 4GHz..
Really sad to hear if true.
