NZXT Introduces the S340 Elite & Internal USB Hub

NZXT today announces the S340 Elite, the most refined and elegant S340, and the NZXT Internal USB Hub, a discreet and simple solution that improves upon its predecessor, the IU01, with a sleek new design for added functionality. The S340 Elite features a tempered glass side panel to showcase builds with breathtaking clarity, an optimized IO panel with an HDMI port and additional USB ports for convenient VR experiences, and a magnetic cable management puck to easily store VR and audio headsets for fast and flexible access.

Providing five USB 2.0 connectors, the Internal USB Hub supports all the latest liquid coolers, fan controllers, and lighting accessories with ease. Three Internal USB 2.0 connectors offer support for CAM Powered devices, including Kraken, GRID+, and HUE+. Two external USB 2.0 connectors make adding wireless dongles for keyboards and Wi-Fi a snap within the case freeing up external ports which would otherwise be occupied.

Nice and clean design, I just wish that NZXT would use more open vented fronts though, having a solid front like on this and the H440 limits what the fans can draw. But that's just my opinion.

The front of the S340 is nothing like the H440. There is over an 1" gap all way through. Gives plenty of airflow with ether 2x120 or 2x140.

I modded the front on my case by cutting the panel open and adding a triple rad grill for a cleaner look and safety for small fingers. But again that's just my opinion.

Nice looking case, super clean and minimalist look (my fav), love the glass side panel and the clean SSD mounting, and I appreciate that they are giving consideration to the currently niche market of us VR owners....But... As a Rift owner myself, I have to say no to the headset hanger, as it is just not a good idea to store the headset with lenses facing upward. This leads to dust on the lens and a chance of something worse happening to them. Also, the Rift has earphones that hang lower than the bottom of the headset, so with this current design the headset will be hanging at an angle due to the ear phones pushing it away from the case (as opposed to vertical, flat against the case as pictured) which seems less secure than what they are intending. I have seen a few headset stands (either 3D printed or hand crafted from wood) where it has a half circle shape allowing the headset to rest on the foam face pad, lens side down. A slight tweak to their hanger shape would allow for this. But as said, I do appreciate more companies thinking of things such as this because surprisingly enough, there are little to no VR headset stands available other than handmade stuff on sites like Etsy. (I would have thought that by now all the aftermarket accessory companies would have been all over the opportunity to sell some cheap plastic headset stand for too much money)

+1 on that: NOONE would do that unless they are an utter plebs and utter plebs dont own VR.... YET!
