Sharkoon introduces another model to its popular X-Rest headset stands, this one with an innovative function: The Sharkoon X-Rest 7.1 Surround Sound Headset Stand featuring an integrated, external USB sound card. This allows easy upgrading of virtual 7.1 sound to existing Windows systems. The X-Rest 7.1 is also suitable as a second sound source when using speakers and headsets.
Angular design, textile braided cable and blue LED illumination - the Sharkoon X-Rest 7.1 maintains order, not just on the desk of a gamer. Your headset will always stand readily nearby and safely secured after each use. Thanks to its heavy base and nonslip rubber feet, the X-Rest 7.1 remains stable and can withstand stressful loads. As an additional feature, the new X-Rest provides virtual 7.1 surround sound on any Windows PC or notebook. Easily accessible operating controls on the device offer quick access to the microphone mute, volume control and equalizer settings. An invaluable advantage, especially during intense gaming sessions.
A quick glance, for example, is the only thing needed to see if the microphone is muted: Once the mute function is activated, the LED illumination changes from blue to red. The X-Rest 7.1 is compatible to all headsets, regardless of whether it has a stereo jack or TRRS connector. The headset stand offers two 3.5 mm ports and automatically detects which connector is used. Therefore, all current Sharkoon headsets, even ones with the most recent TRRS cable, such as the Sharkoon SKILLER SGH1 Stereo Headset, can connect without messy cable clutter.
Not just for gamers, music fans were also considered: Eight preset equalizer modes are available and quickly selected via the equalizer button on the device. Adjust individual equalizer settings, as well as the virtual 7.1 surround sound, through the included Windows software and save the changes within each of the four different profiles. In addition, LED illumination can be completely disabled and the microphone settings, including microphone boost, can be customized. Stereo mode and the use of preset equalizer modes are also possible on PCs, Mac computers and the PS4. For this, no drivers need to be installed. The X-Rest 7.1 connects to a PC, Mac or PS4 via its textile braided USB cable, which also supplies power to the device. Total cable length is 200 cm.
The Sharkoon X-Rest 7.1 Surround Sound Headset Stand is now available for the suggested retail price of 19.99 euros from authorized retailers.
