Dear Biostar,
Please stop making those ugly looking boards and rethink your designs. This might have made it in 2009 but not today

The LED shenanigans makes me think they did. Because it's 2017 and it's all about the LEDs, baby!

(Yes, that was cringe-worthy. But that does seem to be the trend nowadays for better or for worse.)

C'mon guys it's a Biostop, I woudn't expect too much here.

BTW did you notice where it says "Enjoy the BIOSTAR advantage in World of Tanks when you buy a BIOSTAR RACING motherboard, VGA or gaming peripheral where you will receive an exclusive invite codes for premium gift packs for World of Tanks Asia server players."
Codes for Asian based servers? If you live there I guess it makes sense - If you live there.

And what exacly would these gift packs be - Good for 1 exclusive lesson in hacking from a Chinese WOT player demonstrating how it's done with your PC used as the exercise example?

I also noted the checkered flag on the board - Does that mean it's finished right out of the box as in dead.... Or maybe you always wind up dead playing World of Tanks?
Probrably means you're racing as in hauling ass to escape from a battle with the Biostop advantage working for you...... NOT - And then the board just stops, so are you and it's checkers as in "Finished".

So much Biostar hate... so little reason.

Ok ignoramus' post up your anecdotes where they died justifying your feelings being oblivious to the other 20K motherboards they sold which are fine. Just like most everything else..

OK - I'll bite and relate with what happend with my Biostar board(s), namely an TA990FXE.

The board itself was working great, wasn't that good of an OC'er but for what I was using it for was doing as asked of it so no prob there.
The prob I had was when I had a stick of RAM start to die on me.
Noted errors with the system I was running it in so I popped it into this one to do some testing to confirm it bad, you know to be sure the other system wasn't having an issue that may cause it to show itself as going out. The Biostar itself was set for stock since at the time I had it as my DD rig so there was no need to change anything about it's settings, just pop the sticks in and test them right?
OK....When I started the system it just cut off immediately.... And noted the board was behaving exactly like the PSU had been unplugged from the wall, no standby lights or anything. With this happening by swapping sticks alone I decided to risk it and popped the sticks into my CHV-Z and yes, it booted but was throwing RAM errors all over the place confirming the issue.
So....
Requested an RMA from Biostar and they honored it since the board was less than 6 mo old, got the replacement in and ran it.

Foward to about 7 mo later when I had another issue pop up with errors from another set of RAM, things similar to as before so I was like "Surely it won't kill it this time" BUT.... Yes it did.
Same thing as before with identical symptoms too from the board, did a test in the same CHV-Z and it indicated errors from the RAM, not as severe as the last but they were there.

My beef is Biostar coudn't even design a board that could tolerate a stick of RAM going bad and that's all it was in both cases with the two different boards - They simply rolled over and choked from it. The CHV-Z just laughed and said "Dude, you gotta bad one here" and kept going like it was nothing in both instances. I know a failure can take stuff out but like this - Doesn't say alot about the quality of it's design or what it's made of.

I'll never own another Biostop, that much I do know.

Thanks for the anecdote.
Not sure which aspect of BIOSTAR is funnier, a constant feel of urgency to serve the crowd a few years too late (LED, RACING, Mining etc.), or the fact that only 2 years ago they were doing so bad, that they've started selling motherboards on eBay directly? No, probably their misprints and misinformation, worthy to challenge MSI in this field :banghead:
Even their Z270GT9 was promised to be bundled with 256GB Intel 600p (was in Jan 3 press-release), and now they only list an M.2 heat spreader as a free bonus (same @Newegg).
