Thermalright unveiled the Silver Arrow ITX-R CPU cooler. A variant of the original Silver Arrow, this cooler is optimized for mini-ITX builds, with a design focus on clearance near the bottom fins of the fin-stack, making them fit for mini-ITX motherboards, including clearance around the memory, VRM, and PCI-Express slot areas. The cooler features a conventional type-D dual aluminium fin-stack design. The included 130 mm fan, nested between the two fin-stacks, spins between 300 to 1,300 RPM, pushing up to 94.8 m³/h of air. Measuring 103 mm x 153 mm x 150 m, it weighs about 600 g, and supports most modern CPU socket types, including LGA2011v3, LGA115x, AM3+, and FM2+. The company didn't reveal pricing.

I always thought dual tower coolers look much better with a single, middle, fan.
Performance wise there's not a significant difference.

Usually it looks like heatsink is attached to the motherboard ... this looks other way round, as if motherboard is attached to the heatsink

This is news ?
The cooler has been on the market for 2 years now.

You are thinking of the original Silver Arrow ITX cooler. This is the new and improved R variant that is more compact to fit a greater number of itx motherboards and cases (/off Thermalright marketing).

Seems like they dropped a couple stack of fins to get the height down from 165mm to 150mm. Pretty bold move to sacrifice performance for height. You also loose the top heatpipe caps. Width and Depth seem to be unchanged, it just comes down to wither or not your ITX case can take a 150mm height cooler. Board compatibility could also be a bitch being so wide. But also, there are a lot of 150mm towers like the CRYORIG H7 and M9, and TRs own True Spirit 120. So there are a lot of competitors for the money.
