Spire Announces the Archer 9 Vertical Ergonomic Mouse

Spire is pleased to introduce the arrival of the new Archer 9 left handed vertical ergonomic mice. The Archer series by Spire are ergonomic mice that allow your hand, arm and shoulder to be placed in a more human likely and natural position. The vertical design provides better provision to reduce wrist or elbow pain that can come from twisting your arm when using traditional mice.

The latest addition to the Archer series is model 9 which offer support to left handed users. Featuring two ergonomic buttons that are located conveniently on the side of the mouse allowing seamless back and forth browsing. Accomplish higher precision with your choice of adjustable DPI levels. Simply switch between 3 different DPI levels, ranging from 800DPI (green led color),1600DPI (blue led color) to 2400DPI (red led color). The handy DPI button lets you switch between the various tasks you partake in throughout the day.



The Archer 9 mouse is available wired and wireless. The wired version is equipped with a 1.8meter long USB cable and the wireless version utilizes a 24G USB-dongle. Additional to the wireless version are 3 adjustable weights of 10grams each included so that you can adjust the mouse weight to your personal preference.

Nice new way of designing a mouse but if it's really that comfortable/practical? Not sure about that...
I haven't tried one though..

Vertical or handshake grip mice are not a new invention. I use one every day. The position of the hand is much more relaxing for your arm.

this is because the Ulna and Radius bone (two main bones that makes up your wrist movement) are not "crossed" or in a strained position when your palms are vertical vs facing the surface plane.

i kinda feel some angle between 90 & 0 feels natural for me, also this doesnt solve keyboard use (well... there's the infamous microsoft one, but maybe that should have an even greater angle)

I agree with you. I personally also like those mouse that are sort of a crossbred in between, and allows my palm to rest at a 45 degree angle so I can get gravity assist on button clicking - mind you clicking buttons at a complete vertical angle and having your fingers travel perpendicular to the force of gravity is both tiresome and slow.

Maybe so but left handed ones YAY!, sure probably some one done those to but still.


Like to see one with more buttons on it and i guess i will have to go else were for decent pics lol.

The build-quality of Evoluent compared to what they are charging is really upsetting. I would love for somebody like Logitech to get into these types of mice. Because for working every day they are superior IMO.
