CORSAIR, a world leader in enthusiast memory, high-performance gaming hardware and PC components, today announced the immediate availability of CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR4 memory. VENGEANCE RGB brings vibrant RGB lighting to the DIMM slot, with high luminosity RGB LEDs integrated into every module, all controlled by CORSAIR LINK. CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB's wire-free integration enables software RGB lighting control without additional wires (patent pending) for a sharp, clean look and providing an instant visual upgrade to any system build.

Equipped with a precision-engineered light bar and an all-new perforated CORSAIR logo, each LED generates vibrant and rich RGB lighting. With four customizable lighting modes; static, rainbow, breathing and color shift, it's simple to color match your system's build or put on a dazzling light show, and with specifically designed lighting circuitry, there's zero impact on DDR4 performance. With CORSAIR LINK, users can set up a temperature alert that automatically changes each memory module's LED color based on system temperatures, as well as monitor and control a wide variety of CORSAIR components, from case fans, lighting, DRAM and compatible CORSAIR power supplies to Hydro Series liquid CPU coolers, providing a complete PC monitoring experience.

VENGEANCE RGB's built-in heat spreader doesn't just look great, it keeps each memory module cool to maintain performance and stability under high load operations. Using a custom performance PCB and carefully hand-screened ICs, VENGEANCE RGB guarantees better signalling and superior overlocking potential. VENGEANCE RGB's XMP 2.0 support makes overclocking simple and easy for novices or seasoned PC builders, allowing users to safely switch between pre-configured tested Intel XMP profiles and get the guaranteed performance out of their DRAM kit.

VENGEANCE RGB's CORSAIR LINK software control is compatible with a wide range of Intel DDR4 platforms, from dual-channel Z270 and Z170 to quad-channel X99, with more boards adding compatibility every week and AMD Ryzen support planned soon. What's more, VENGEANCE RGB is also compatible with third-party motherboard software RGB control, allowing users to synchronize DRAM and motherboard RGB lighting. Gigabyte is the first to offer VENGEANCE RGB support through its RGB Fusion App, with other motherboard partners coming soon.

CORSAIR's first ever RGB DDR4 kits are available immediately in 16GB (2 x 8GB) and 32GB (4 x 8GB) 3000MHz kits, with additional capacity and frequency kits coming soon.

I wonder if the X99 support is better with the RGB version. I've had the LED version since December and corsair link still doesn't recognise it and give me the option to change the LEDS to static.

I'm talking for support from Corsair link more than the compatibility of the ram with the MB or chipset. The RAM works as advertised and better! Its corsair link that is the pile of excrement, its been about 9 months since they released and still haven't figured out how to control the LEDS on X99.

I use corsair link 4 for my cooler I don't seem to have problems with it and yet I don't have any leds to use on corsair link. I do have the same memory with blue leds but you cant control them I kinda wish you could though
edit: but now I just got a update for corsair link now I can control the leds so check and see if there's a update now.

Yeah Corsair link works with my H100i just fine but not with the LED RAM (on X99) It gives me the options and recognises the RAM is there, but the drop downs to change to static, dimming or shut off do nothing. Corsair link and the vengeance LEDs on Z170 work just fine but for some reason they haven't gotten it to work with X99 not sure why. Its a little annoying but I'm sure some day they will get around to fixing it.

No, we developed our own.

It's much better!

All I can say for now is y'all should be patient. :) All will be well soon.

Agreed corsair link has improved from the earlier versions and I hope it continues, but its a bit frustrating to get a product and not have it work as advertised. I'm still hanging in there for it, as you can see by my system specs I'm a big corsair fan so one little thorn in the side wont ruin the brand for me.

I feel stupid for asking: I'm not familiar with DDR4 much or LED-lit RAM, how are these able to be controlled through the RAM slot and not without some form of external connection?

They did announce these at CES this year and have had a banner for them saying coming soon on their website since. Can't really call foul here. I'm puzzled since if this was their official announcement what was the point of the CES announcement and everything leading up to this point. It is as if were they planning to release at CES or shortly after but weren't ready or got delayed and now this is a "In case you forgot" announcement. /rambling

@Corsair George @CorsairBlake any plans to release an 8GB kit? (2x4GB) I was planning on getting 16GB with 4 dims but the only option is 2x8GB for 16GB or 32GB and I dont want either.

There wasn't an announcement during CES. What you saw was media coverage. This is the official announcement.

The current trend is leading towards 8GB modules for DDR4. At this time, I'm unsure if we will produce smaller sized modules.
I understand but I dont have to like it!

Really dont want 32GB for 4 dimms. But I really want this RAM to complete out my Corsair theme.
