EK Water Blocks, the Slovenia-based premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer is proving its market leadership once again by releasing the first ever AM4 socket based monoblock tailor made for the ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero motherboard. The EK-FB ASUS C6H RGB Monoblock has an integrated 4-pin RGB LED strip which makes it compatible with ASUS Aura Sync, thus offering a full lighting customization experience.

This is a complete all-in-one (CPU and motherboard) liquid cooling solution for the new AMD X370 Chipset AM4 socket based ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero gaming motherboard that supports the latest generation of AMD Ryzen and 7th Generation A-series/Athlon processors. Designed and engineered in cooperation with ASUS, this monoblock uses award-winning EK-Supremacy EVO cooling engine to ensure best possible CPU cooling. This water block directly cools AMD AM4 socket type CPU, as well as the power regulation (MOSFET) module. Liquid flows directly over all critical areas, providing the enthusiasts with a great solution for high and stable overclocks. Like with every EK monoblock, EK-FB ASUS C6H features high flow design and this monoblock can be easily used with the system using a weaker water pump as well.

The world's very first AM4 socket based monoblock also comes with a redesigned cold plate. The new design ensures that the monoblock has better mechanical contact with the IHS of AMD AM4 socket based processors, thus enabling better thermal transfer.

The monoblock is equipped with a 4-pin RGB LED strip that connects to the motherboard's 4-pin LED header or it can be connected to any other 4-pin LED controller. The LED strip cover can easily be removed for adjusting the cable orientation or replacing the LED strip with a custom solution as well.

MSRP: EK-FB ASUS C6H RGB Monoblock - Nickel 119.95€. For more information, visit the product page.

This looks extremely bad. Totally destroys the whole black theme of the one board it's specifically made for. They literally had just one job here.

For those that want to keep the black theme, EKWB still has their standard Supremacy EVO black acetal tops...

Yea, but I want it black on the outside and still transparent on the inside so I can see the coolant, not just closed so that I can't see what's inside. Like this one, but black instead of the hideous silver.

All the various options that I can think of (painting, plating, anodizing) for making a copper water block appear black negatively impact the thermal conductivity of the water block. A layer of black CuO the same thickness as the nickel plating would be 3 times more thermally insulating than the nickel plating layer already is (Nickel has ~25% the thermal conductivity of Copper).

You are complaining for the sake of just simply complaining. Everything you are taking up issue with is simply solved with a black vinyl decal with cutouts for the channels. I also have to ask if the copper base is blacked out and no longer refracting light from LEDs how do you expect to see anything? That said I do agree that the block does break aesthetics blacked out or not.
